I'd bet on it. The problem is that we're talking about a goal in a 2-1 game. Make up call for borderline penalties that happen in regular season is one thing, taking away a goal and having Detroit score right after now is terrible officiating.

To be expected in this building. It's not like the Flames are the only visiting team to get jobbed in Detroit. All teams do.

So is it better for the Blues pick if the Wings win?

Yep, and on the off-chance the Penguins lose against the Sens a Hawks loss would also drop them down a spot to 25th instead of 26th.

Lets give Howard a standing O for that 50 foot shot right at him. God Red Wings fans are delusional.

Bouwmeester should go to the Kronwall school of "boxing out". Wow that was impressive.

Pretty smart play by Bickell. I know it was probably over anyway, but damn that was dumb.

Blackhawks got jobbed tonight by the refs, hopefully they can forget about it and win the next game or two.

Detroit taking Chicago to school. They've quickly learnt from the first game. Wings in 5.

Good to see those Hawks get beaten down. They're gooning it up late.

They got dominated and were not even close to deserving of a win.

Chicago player was deep in the crease. Good non-goal.

Is this the first time Chicago has faced adversity this season? They cruised through the rest of the season

I think Cherry nailed it yesterday or the day before saying the Hawks aren't battle tested, haven't really been tested all season. It is showing right now. Not handling the adversity too well. Impressed with DET taking it up a notch.

Obviously going to work out one of two ways. Chicago doesn't find an answer to this and whimpers out of the playoffs, or Detroit's play wake up a sleeping monster and CHI steamrolls over them for the rest of the series.

In his last 5 playoff series Toews now has 3 goals and 14 points and is a -5 in 27 games. I wonder how much heat he'd be getting if he was European.

Yeah. He's hardly done anything:

Conn Smyth
Olympic Best Forward Award
Youngest Team Captain in team history and forth youngest in NHL history
Youngest person to win Olympic gold, Stanley Cup and World Junior

But yeah, overrated
