Primary contact =/= initial contact, just because he hits the shoulder first doesn't make it a legal hit, the brunt of the hit was absorbed by the head of Stoll, which means it's a head shot.

You can say it's not a head shot as many times as you want, I disagree and so do the only people that matter.

At the end of the day Stoll put himself in an awful position, wasn't situationally aware, and Torres hit him hard. While Stoll got a concussion that doesn't necessarily mean that Torres hit him with a direct head shot.
Hit looked identical to Moore on Naslund and Canuck fans were irrate about that one.

Stupid hit - could have / should have just checked him hard through the body . I'm okay with checking players in vulnerable positions, but guys have to recognize it and dial the throttle back a touch to make sure it's clean...it's still going to be a big hit and take the guy out of the play, but not send him to the hospital.

Jeff O'Neill ‏@odognine2 50m
I'm hearing the Torres suspension could be years not games.

I'd like to see Torres punted from the league as it's obvious he never learned anything from his 21 game suspension last time.

Why would it be an absolute joke. Just because Stoll didn't need to be carried off the ice on a stretcher doesn't mean Torres shouldn't get the book thrown at him.

I think it will be 5-6 games, Sutter is playing it very smart and coy in terms of how long Stoll will be out.

Rumor here in San Jose is that Torres has been suspended for the rest of the series.

Hopefully he learns this time, previous evidence suggests he won't.

Sharks dominate the first few minutes and Niemi lets in a stinker on the first LA shot.

I really can't see anyone beating Los Angeles.

Regehr looks really good.

L.A. is unbelievable when they get in the groove, no one can beat this team in a 7 game series if the Kings keep up this level of play.
