Just did the roster update today and Iggy and Bo are gone from the Flames but they don't have the 1st round picks from Pit or St Louis in return. I can't go in and edit it so that they do either which is pretty crappy attention to detail, especially for the Pit pick which isn't conditional

Also Reinhart isn't in the AHL or NHL etc... It shouldn't be that hard to get the roster updates perfect

Speed and weight shouldn't be connected in any way. There is a seperate speed stat, that should be how fast someone is. If someone is an 80 speed their weight shouldn't be a factor. If a dude is fat, make him slow in the speed category. Connecting these 2 stats together is stupid and pointless. It makes tiny players deadly in the game in ways they never are in real life because they skate circles around large guys. In this game Mario Lemieux would be terrible compared to Theo Fleury just because of the size difference. It's silly.

If a guy can run a 4.4 and he's 6"6 he can run a 4.4, end of story.

I remember the days of joking with friends about how long Pat Falloon was in the roster. It was incredible that they never bothered to delete him for the longest time.

Sure they add in a couple new features here and there. But some of the most BASIC things in the series that need to be fixed, just haven't. So I'll name a few:

-AI. That's pretty self-explanatory.

-People being able to pause the game during online multiplayer games. You can't pause a game during any fps online shooter, so wtf can you pause a live hockey game with 12 people playing in online? This has been around since '07. Make it so the captain of the team can call a timeout (aka pause) once per game, just like real life. The fact that anyone can pause the game is ######ed.

-Glitch goals. Every year is a new supply of them.

-Updates need to be done more often. Most other sports game are updated more often then the NHL series. NHL gets an update every couple months, not days or weeks like it should be.

-The menus need to be changed. Clunkly, long loading menus are stupid and frustrate gamers looking for a seamless experience. We don't need to see PowerPoint style animations everytime we navigate the menu. It's gotten better in recent year,,,but its still not up to par with other games.

-Issues with the online server. Year after year, the series is plagued with server issues. Whether it be lag, kicking people out the game, etc. EA has a terrible reputation overall of having good seamless servers for any of their games. This probably won't be fixed this year.

-The announcers have had the same comments for years now. Laziness on EA's part.

-The NHL Legends are a cool concept...except when you have Stamkos and the freakin' Sedins listed under the legend team. Are you kidding me?? Where the hell is Bobby Orr? Jeremy Roenick is not an NHL legend.

I could go on and on, but all I really need to do is copy/paste exactly what I write every year and nothing gets changed. Sure, the new skating is cool (although cornering is not realistic. NHL players don't need to swoop the entire width of the ice to turn at full speed), but so many basic things are still wrong with the series.

After playing 2Ks NBA games, IMO that's how the series should be modelled. It's a shame they don't make the 2K hockey games anymore. Because if they were anything like NBA2K13 was, we'd be in for a treat.

All one has to do is look at EA's history and you'll realize that its going to be the same crap as the last couple seasons.

My main want continues to be the ability to play exhibition games or "just for fun" games with my GM Connected team. Also, the ability to run practice in that mode. Basically I want to be able to use my team during the month plus of playoffs if I'm not in the running anymore.

all I want is some new logo choices for create a team. Good lord it's literally been like 15 years since the logos have been updated. Brutal. I want to create a fataing team. Give me a little something to work with.

If it isn't fixed this game, I'm done with the series, and it's not simply because of the stupid logo thing, but because I echo what Huntingwhale says. They don't fix teh things they need to fix like menus, loading times, simple ####.

Give me the NHL equivalent of FIFA 13. By that I'm mostly talking about the roster updates. Fifa is updating almost weekly with roster changes and player overall changes depending what happened that week. If Fifa can do it with thousands of players then surely NHL can do it with hundreds.

I'd just like the following in the next game:

a) for it to remember that you set it to manual line changes instead of always defaulting to auto line changes

b) when you use manual line changes and change lines, for players to be a bit smarter in that if the puck is in their feet or by them, they try to play the puck instead of just go for the line change

c) for the net to not be knocked off so easily, i can't even count the times that I'm in the neutral zone and one of the nets just gets knocked off and stops play
