Honestly I know he was working to put his house up for sale during the California trip they were on, I kind of (again this is pure speculation) but think he either knew or was asked for something up coming

Spector is such a tool. Because we really had the freedom to deal Bouw, Iginla etc anywhere we wanted as long as it wasn't Calgary right Mark? Why bother checking any facts when you can cheapshot the Flames.

His Oilers have a defenseman with a bad groin he's trying to shill off, that's why.

Fair enough. I wasn't saying that he's as good as Dreger, but I don't think TSN would have hired him if he was a complete moron. Well, I guess that's debatable.

Anyway, my point is, I don't see why everyone is piling on him so much about the Iginla thing. Everybody in the hockey world (plus everyone on CP), including the Boston Bruins thought that Iginla was going to Boston. Was Aaron Ward a little trigger happy? Sure. But it wasn't really anyone's fault that Iggy changed his mind at the 11th hour.

But back on topic, I'm not giving this NHLArchive any credibility. Unless it comes from someone solid, I'm not going to put much stock in it.

met him once at a charity event, amazing person, down to earth. i think his locker room presence is significant even he is not playing. too bad the team doesn't have a regular spot for him. if he is dealt, i wish him all the best.

It's needless pessimism in my opinion.
I'm all for trading Sarich for a 3rd round pick. I'm just cautioning against counting our chickens before they hatch. At one time this forum was beaming with optimism about Negrin, Pelech, and Neimisz.

Never Nemisz, If you watched him in the world juniors, he was just along for the ride as the center of his all star junior team, he can not skate

I'm not gonna lie. I get excited for every first round pick; but they usually leave me disappointed.

With him we will finish pretty much last, rock bottom has arrived. Time to move on and get as much prospects as we can get for the rebuild

I'd be thrilled with a 3rd round pick in return for a guy that barely plays.

I think he still has plenty left in the tank, like Babchuk, just not used here.

Make it happen, Feaster.

Though, we still need a damn 2nd rounder, Flames have no picks in the 2nd, gotta address that somehow.
