What? Nah, I'll still be here.
I don't even think I can actively cheer for Boston but I hope Iggy does well.

I'm happy... I now have a team to cheer for in the playoffs!
Still very sad to see him go though.

Also it's not official until Grant Pollock confirms it.

Kind of?
I'm sure they're keeping a lid on it until the game ends.

You know the flames are going to trade down from that pick anyways!

What a ####ty 7 months this has been for me.... My Hero Chipper Jones retires and my favorite hockey player is traded... WTF .. Goodbye Iggy, Im glad I have only been watching hockey since 2006. I think if I had been following since the beginning I would be on the verge of crying right now.

Wow, really wish the franchise could have moved forward with Iginla on the roster. This could suggest that neither side was close on contract renewal numbers.
It's sad and I can't say I'm happy it happened under Feaster's watch, nor am I comfortable with him leading the 'rebuild' but such is life. Better days to come... Go Bruins.

Thanks Iggy! But trust me, the Flames will regret this trade.

Our captain got traded to Boston for 2 minor leaguers and a first round pick. That's all you can get Feaster? Freaking sad. I sure hope that Russian Ko-something continue the trend and become star player for the Flames. The trend i am talking is :
Flames traded their star player Kent Nilsson to Minnesota for a draft pick that it turned out to be the next star player Joe Nieuwendyk. Then Nieuwy got traded to Dallas for a good prospect that turned out to be our star player and captain Iginla.

Even though I saw this coming and know it's best for both the Flames and Iggy I feel just as crushed as I felt after game 7 of the finals in 04.

I know most of us are adults, and that this is professional sports that we are talking about. However, I am absolutely devastated right now. It is the right decision for the Flames and even more so for Jarome. He deserves a change, and his body language says it. I will now have a 2nd favorite team and its all because of one player. Best Flame ever and a sad day for Flames fans.

Did they remove the rule that the final 4 teams go 26-30th and the Cup finalists go 29-30 (Winner going 30th)?
I don't think this will hit me in full until I watch a Bruins game and see Iginla skate in the yellow and white (or black).
Really hope Iginla does well there. He deserves an official Cup win and it certainly wouldn't come in Calgary.
