When the lockout ended I said I wouldn't wear any of my Flames sweaters this season. I'm gonna wear my #12 to work today, because as disgusted as I am with the NHL and with the Flames' direction, I can't think of a better tribute to Iggy. Go get that Cup, Big Tree!

Some posts just don't belong in a tribute thread. Iggy was and still is awesome. It will be awesome if he can win a cup this year.

Alright guys, who has an Iginla goal they want uploaded to YouTube?

If it's happened between 2007 and now, I have it (and the 2004 Playoff run obviously).

AC, I know you're gonna make an awesome tribute video of some sorts. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

As for an upload...EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

They were all great.

83 Game Winning Goals

...out of his 525 total. That is all that needs to be said about what he meant to the Calgary Flames. That's 16%. Next closest player is Fleury with 53.

Iggy, you were a winner through and through. It's just a shame you won't win a cup with the Flames. Go kill it in Pittsburgh!

I know Iggy didnt score this goal, but he created it. It is still my favorite Iggy moment I witnessed live in the dome. Thanks Jarome! You mean the world to this city.

Thanks AC.

Early in the 2002/2003 seasons when he was just breaking out he had this killer goal against the kings where he fell to he's knees in front of the Kings goalie and still managed to score. I think it was late November of 2002.

Came here to post this, too. Not my favourite Jarome memory but perhaps one that epitomizes him the most for me.

It helps that Linden was the last Canuck that I truly respected.

I was choked as a kid losing Fleury, and I am choked losing Iginla for what we got in return. But what a fantastic player and human being Iggy was. Going to seriously miss him.

What if 19,289 fans each stood on their seat and said, "Oh Captain, my Captain"!

Ah, I meant 2001-2002!
but thought for sure it was November. I could have sworn it was from November. Thanks though!

Was mixing up #17 and that one in my mind.

Irreplaceable i bought ST mainly because of Iginla.

How lucky we have been to have had our Captain who was right from our home province, play and win Gold Medals for our home Country.
Become a living legend leading the Flames in every career category a forward can.
Pass the hockey greats in NHL of old with every more 2 or 3 goals he scored.
How lucky we have been to witness a future HOF first ballot player Bless our ice with his class and legendary status.
For our kids a role model and Adults like myself who were proud of every time he scored, made that great pass and never held back his passion when it was time to drop the gloves.
A role model and leader that always wanted to share his limelight with his team mates. With a big smile say " really it was just a great pass by Conny, Gelli, Tangs, Lanks, Cammy "

I'm really deeply going to miss Jarome Iggy Iggy Iggy Oi Oi Oi Iginla.

He was ours and I was really lucky to watch such a young kid mature into a Superstar and become bench mark player, leader and future HOF class acts!
