Unfortunately I need to bow out.
I have a nasty blister on my hand that I developed playing ball hockey this week.
I also have clients that need me to find them a house as they have just recently sold.
Sorry
Would have loved to have played!

I am still going to encourage everyone to come out, even though it's raining in Calgary it can be really nice out at the course. Some days are harder than others to predict and usually if it does rain there it isn't for long.

I'd say come prepared for some light rain, jackets, pants, a towel for your clubs, etc., but if it's raining more than a sprinkle we can re-schedule for another Sunday.

Final draw - All paid up except for darklord700 but I've been in contact with him and think he is still coming.

1:57 PM - Dion + 3 guests
2:06 PM - sec304, sec304 guest, darklord700, MajorMajor
2:15 PM - prarieboy + 3 guests
2:24 PM - Bunk, KevanGuy, pylon, Malcolm

I will have 8 carts parked to the left of the doors to the clubhouse. If you're in the 1st group, go to the 1st row, 2nd group, 2nd row, etc., I'll have names entered on the GPS screens on the carts if all goes well and I can get here with enough time to do so...

6:30 reservation in the dining room under Malcolm.

Food, tax, gratuity is included. For drinks you are on your own.

I'll have a couple of closest to the pin, long drive, short drive, long putt out there on the course, I'll probably send them out with the first group of golfers and pick them up myself as I am in the last group.

If it rains a little bit, be prepared to golf through it. Bring rain gear, an umbrella, a towel, whatever. If it rains a lot obviously we will reschedule. The forecast right now is calling for 1-3 mm of rain with a chance of thundershowers... but can change quickly, and 1-3 mm isn't even enough to get your tongue wet really!

Any questions post them here!

You fellers have fun. I'd would've definitely been in if I still lived in the area.

Well the tournament went off despite a little bit of rain - thanks to everyone who came out and made the day a great time. Really looking forward to the second annual next year!

We raised $225 for the Canadian Mental Health Association, thanks mostly to pylon who won the 50/50 and returned all of the money (minus the $40 he paid for tickets) to the charity. What a generous guy. If he did keep all of his winnings it would almost be a dollar for every stroke he took today. Haha.

We had a team game going on and the winning team with a questionably clean ball returned at the end of the round was Dion and his three guests, Eric, Adrian and Rod.

Long Drive (hole 2) - pylon (267 yards)
Closest to the pin in 2 (hole 7) - Bunk (with a challenge from Major Major - I don't think he realized the proxy was ours!)
Shortest Drive (hole 14) - I think I can safely guess that it was KevanGuy although I don't think the proxy was noticed by anyone - so no winner!
Closest to the pin (hole 16) - prarieboy

I promised pylon I would post the leaderboard in the thread so here it is:

1. Eric (Dion's guest) - 83
2. Bunk - 84
3. Malcolm - 89
T4. Major Major - 93
T4. Rod (Dion's guest) - 93
T4. Adrian (Dion's guest) - 93
7. sec304 - 98
8. prarieboy - 101
9. Sorin (prarieboy's guest) - 107
10. Catalin (prarieboy's guest) - 108
11. pylon - 109
12. Marius (prarieboy's guest) -110
13. Dion - 118
14. KevanGuy - 123
15. Mike (sec304's guest) - 129

Most improved: pylon (60 on the front; 49 on the back)
Van de Velde award winner for blowup on the back nine: Dion (54 on the front; 64 on the back)

Thanks to prarieboy for donating a box of balls for draw prizes!

Things we can improve on for next year:

Bikini girls (at sec304's request)
Weather
Celebrity factor - although pylon is kind of a celebrity
Some of those 120+ scores down into the 110's

Big thanks to Malcolm for putting this all together. It was fantastic.

Kudos to Pylon who donated his 50/50 winnings back to the CMHA.

A big thanks to Malcolm for setting up the tourney and all who showed up to play! I always enjoy the chance of meeting members from our forum

The course was a beast and chewed and spit me out. Worst game of the year

Well done pylon for your generous donation.
