Cool, thanks all. Still haven't flashed a phone yet. I still have my S2 lying around, so I might try on that before trying out the S4.

Apparently Canadian S4's already have unlocked boot loaders while the US ones don't. I wouldn't be surprised if there ends up being a relatively easy way to load the stock android that comes on these S4's onto our Canadian S4's

I really am not fond of that review. The whole thing seems a bit over the top with its criticism.

Just picked up this phone and just wondering if it's possible to download flash player? TSN videos aren't working for me.

I believe Android discontinued its official flash support unfortunately, but you can follow the instructions here. Hopefully that works.

Instead of a flash player, does i.tsn.ca work for you? The videos there work on my iPhone. Haven't checked if it works on my Android device.

Played with the s4 and was underwhelmed. I don't even think it's a question that the HTC One is better; I just hate the HTC One buttons. I'm excited about the optimus pro G.. I love LG's UI and the buttons all make sense and the screen looks filthy nice.

I actually prefer the S4 to the HTC One - I personally don't enjoy HTC's UI, nor the buttons on the device. The only thing nicer about the HTC One was the speakers, and the metal finishing (though I don't care about plastic versus metal at all, once it's in a case, you never notice).

The grass isn't always greener...
Contemplating going back to my iphone as the S4 isn't really for me. I like a simple phone where it doesn't take a masters degree to figure out how to use. The size, the lack of flash player, the sensitivity of the screen (or lack thereof) are all turn offs. You have to press too many buttons to do simple tasks.
I thought that Apple was in trouble but after using the s4 I can see why they won't be. For a simple user like me, the iphone is what works best. Surfing CP on the S4 is a pain in the butt because I have to zoom and press on the screen a couple times before it clicks on what I want to click.
S4 is a "better" phone, but way too complicated and a hassle for the simple user I am. I can see why a lot of people like Samsung over Apple, and I'm really not a big fan of Apple but the iphone is much easier to use for me.
TSN videos don't play and neither do NHL.com videos which I use frequently on the iphone.

Yeah, I can see this, but for me it's the opposite. I have an iPhone for work and an S3 for personal use and I'm pretty bored with the iPhone. I also hate how I can't customize certain things the way I want.

I think this is a great example of why there's always going to be a big market for Android and iOS moving forward for a bit. Android gives power uses with patience and the desire to customize their experience to how they want it, while iOS gives users who either a) dont know how or b) dont want to do the extra work to customize and tailor their experience. I'm in bucket B with puckluck. I've even been considering picking up a new iPad recently. All the neat bells and whistles I use my tablet for I find I actually use (like my emulators I never play with, as an example).

I think this would be the perfect time to post the Louis ck video of "everything is perfect and nobody is happy" hahaha "my phone has too many options"
PS: the screen doesn't read your eyes it reads your head movements for scrolling. Makes your neck sore trying to use it.

There is a way to download the last flash update. I'll check. I have it
Edit: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4675670#4675670
Flash isn't officially supported anymore, but you can manually download the last update and it'll work fine
