Common people, don't act as if the future is so bleak just because we lost 2 in a row and are now under .500. The team that has been made has a very promising future and as soon as kipper come back to form, i think we are gunna be a team to reckon with.

A huge game tonight.
If they win, they are only one point off from where I thought they would be a week ago. I thought they would lose in OT to Anaheim and lose on the BTB to LA. I thought they would win tonight. If they do win, then nothing has really changed for me at all. Need to make up 1 point along the way. Certainly possible.
If they lose tonight, then they are 2 games below .500 with only 23 games left [edit - 24 games left]. They will have allowed a 2 game slump to become 3. Which is almost insurmountable at this stage. Pretty much need to go 8-2 over next ten games to re-establish any legitimate chance.
I see a lot of "piling on" right now. Adding insult to injury. I am rooting for the Flames to respond tonight.

Oh the TSN mis season report should be enthralling tonight if yer a Flames fan. CBC tore the Flames a new one, should be fun to see the TSN panel do the same.

I don't know what people expect? I don't think they go out of there way to hate us. We suck and that's the facts, everyone outside the team can see we suck, we have a flawed approach and roster. It's all deserved.

Logic would say Calgary have no chance of winning this game. In the past, that has meant sure victory. Not tonight.
Tonight is the beginning of the end of this team as it is built right now. I'm watching only because Iginla doesn't (read:shouldn't) have many games left as a Flame.

They could be nicer about it though, like "Hey, the Flames suck and will miss the playoffs just like we expected, but they are trying hard and Feaster and crew are willing to keep the team together for one final push".
Two things would be accomplished if they did that:
1) Flames fans would feel better; and
2) They could use the same video next year and give their analysts a couple minutes off next year at this time.

It's embarrassing we expect tsn and CBC make us feel better about this mess. The truth is the outlook is bleak and management continuing the same path is going to ruin this franchise.

I got back from California yesterday after watching the flames get smoked 2x. Now that I am not there the weather in LA jumped about 10 degrees warmer and the Flames will pull out a victory tonight

I hope we win tonight, like I do every night, but I also hope they make the tough decisions at the deadline regardless of how we're doing.

With this team I don't seem to care if they win or lose. Unfortunately if we get on a winning streak we might make the playoffs and then what? We won't get beyond the first round. Once again management will be able to say "we gave it a good try. We're on the right track." I've been a fan since day one but I'm tired of these last few years. I'm tired of hearing "we just didn't get started tonight". This team has no heart. The lack of effort some nights is pathetic. I'd much rather watch a young team like the Oilers than this group of "never show ups". Talk of Burke coming here is farfetched but I'm sure it he did it would only be with the understanding that he make major changes. Unless changes are made we'll be looking at several more years of mediocrity. Now that I consider it, a loss is probably better all around.
