I get trying different lines to find something but seems like Comeau has been everywhere but in net. For a team so sorely lacking at center I find it mind boggling that Comeau stays up and Jones gets sent down. For the love of god please sit Comeau for a while and see how the team does with it him. I just don't get why he is still on the team and praised for his hard work. It's like he's dating Hartley's daughter or has incriminating photos of Hartley.
The Czech line doesn't seem to be working at all. They get pushed around way to easily. Putting Stajan with them seemed to have the best chemistry so far so either do that or if you want Cervenka to play centre maybe try Iggy-Stajan-Hudler and maybe have Cervenka centre Stemps and Cammy.

Brent Sutter may have been the worst thing to happen to Calgary in the last 3 years.
He made them look mediocre.
Exactly, I blame Sutter for the position that the Flames are in. If he did not get more out of this team than is actually there perhaps the rebuild would have happened earlier. Freaking guy took a sub .500 team and gave the impression that they could compete for a playoff spot.

Ha ha. Your post got a smile out of me but the rest of the time pretty blank and expressionless like most of the Flames players on the bench. It is what it is. If they are going to be bad I would rather post about them being bad than stop watching and not posting at all.

Part of me does wonder if we would be in this same spot if Backlund and Kipper didn't get injured.
Kipper is obvious. But Backlund was a big part of the forward momentum the team had.

Seems doubtful, I am really trying to think of a game that the backup goalies lost. I am completely drawing a blank.
Brent Sutter was a bad coach. This team was a division contender before he came here. 3 years later Kipper and Iggy still lead this team with the next best players all 29-33 that is the problem.
