pretty good game by MacDonald. He'll probably want the 3rd goal back, but that was bad defending to begin with. We also have to bear in mind that the St Louis game and tonight's game were his first games in 11 months ... plus it's a new environment for him. Given that, I think he has been fine. Very calm and composed. All he has to do now is get a nice Flames mask.

What a crazy game! That made no sense. I don't know how the huge changes between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd came about, I'd love to know what sort of happened there? Do the Flames pick up their play under pressure with a siege mentality, was it coaching changes/line changes? Was it comfort? Was it more from Dallas or more from Calgary?

No matter the case, my heart was racing at the end there, incredibly fun from a spectators point of view but hope we don't need to go through those kinds of games too much this season!

Also, what was with the body-slam thing from Begin? I don't really feel like that should be allowed, if someone had their helmet off that could be nasty...

Great to see them come back and win that one! They didn't sit back too much at the end either. Macdonald does look much more like NHL goalie than Irving did. If they can get another win tomorrow in Phoenix they could pull up to one point back of the Coyotes with 2 games in hand.

What's this? I didn't see that either. Details? Please

Biggest thing I took from this win was the shift Glenncross - Stajan - Stempniak threw down after the go ahead goal by Begin. They hemmed the Stars in for a good minute and a half which seemed to solidify the comeback that the Flames had just executed. Joey Mac held the fort too down the stretch and seemed to calm down in the third but our D did a good job of limiting chances once we evened it up early. The Flames need to play the same kind of 3rd period right away against the Yotes.

This version of the Flames remind me a lot of the Keenan edition. Never feel like you're out of a game but also never feel safe with a lead. Definitely high entertainment value!

@RenLavoieRDS: Stars were 71-0-8 when they had the lead after 40 minutes...until tonight.

I know Comeau got a lot of heat today, specially with the knowledge of his "promotion" but lucky Hartley was just #@@#ing with us and he put Comeau where he belongs on the 4th line. He was a big reason for the Begin goal and he does create a good cycle when he can actually settle the puck down which is rare. It's just one game and I am still "meh" overall about Comeau but I have to give him a thanks for helping us get a big two points tonight.

When Iggy finally gets going (history says it will happen) this team just might be good...who needs defense? I love scoring

And they were 2 goals up! Epic comeback!

I somehow doubt this would have happened with Lehtenon in goal though.

Hartley may know something we don't, this could be his way of getting certain players to play over their heads. Comeau looked pretty fired up in the 3rd.

I don't see that being enough to push us into being good, but average is good enough to make the playoffs, and that is within reach.
