Well, that's weird, because in March he wrote an article about how Netanyahu "is our man" (that's a quote, from him). Here's a quote from this 'extreme left-wing Israeli' in that article:
You actually read what this guy wrote? Just because one time he said that Netanyahu would be better at removing settlers does not mean he was a Netanyahu supporter some quotes from your own article:
Quote:
Not because a Netanyahu government will more effectively rebuild the Israeli left.
Quote:
And Netanyahu is the only one who will be able to confront these refusenik settlers.
Quote:
We, as the backbone of the Israeli peace camp need to reframe our political challenge. Under normal circumstances, it is the main task of the opposition is to convince the public to replace the ruling regime and its political platform and propose a real alternative. Now, in Israel 2012, our task and challenge is to embrace Netanyahu and to convince him to become the historic leader that he thinks he is. Netanyahu’s historic role must be not to bomb Iran, but to make peace with the Palestinians and to reach out to the Arab world and embrace the Arab peace initiative.
Sounds like he is supporting Netanyahu only because he thinks he will be heavy handed with the extreme right, not because he sees eye to eye with him in any way. Now that Netanyahu has made it clear, he has no intention of immediately withdrawing any settlers, he's probably changed his tune. Now he sees this as an opportunity to remove Netanyahu.
Golda Meir:
"We can forgive you for killing our sons. We cannot forgive you for making us kill yours."
"Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us."
They're not doubling the amount of reservists they call up for no reason, so we know it will escalate.
And we all know Israel doesn't hold back. Blood bath is a nice way of putting it.
I actually disagree strongly.
Middle Eastern politics is all about saber rattling. Israel does not need to show they are going to invade, they only need to convince people they would.

I will just watch this war on my couch and pray that I live in a good and safer world then they do! The only thing I have to worry about is how long the NHL lockout will be.

Keep in mind boots are on the ground to keep Palestinians safe, they will go in to hunt down Hamas.
I was reading up on the history of Hamas today and learned that this "political party" started as an offshoot of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood back in 1987. Given that the Muslim Brotherhood now control Egypt, how long we can realistically expect the Egypt-Isreal peace deal from Camp David Accord to hold up?

Egypt is under heavy influence from the military, which hates Hamas. The Egyptian military and Hamas have had a number of recent conflicts, and there is a reason Egypt seals in Gaza as much as the Israelis.

Maybe, but the only border that's open enough for some of those heavier weapons to come through is with Egypt
I think its more along the idea of turning a blind eye.
While the Egyptian Military might hate Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood is pretty much a sponser of Hamas. The Egyptian Intelligence Agency the Mukhabarat (sp) centers most of its activities against Israel and is entirely independent of the Military as well.
