What exactly does the NE have to do with Cederbrae?

You guys can move to the NE and get in fights if someone parks in front of your place.

What? So you didn't know he lived in the SW and THIS is your reply? Lame.

I think you know how to read....

Let me make it clear for you: The mods should create another forum for threads about the NE, you guys can post there about how people are losers for parking in front of your place. In fact, you can do all your posting there.

Otherwise, use some common sense when parking. Feel free to park where legal, and don't leave your car for months in one spot.

He's parked illegally.

I still don't follow you. Jhunt lives in the SW...what exactly would we discuss about the NE? And what does the NE have to do with anything?

I missed that post.

I am confused why it is still an issue then, call the Parking Authority.

As a municipal official I endorse this idea.

On second thought, they might figure it out and you could be charged.

Pooping on his car is the best suggestion I have seen thus far.

Keep them coming though!

I usually have to park a couple blocks from my house. If your neighbourhood is so ####ty that you don't find it a nice walk back to your place you should move to a place more to your needs. Also, the typical suburbanite, (or cul-de-saccer I guess) could use a walk.

NagaWaza, what in the blue hell are you going on about? This thread was started about an issue in a SW community. Puckluck lives in the SE. And for some reason, only known to you, you're telling the mods to create another forum for threads about the NE?

Of all the odd-ball/non-sensical posts I've ever read on CP, this one takes the cake.

Just noticed this. No balls eh? What a ######ed statement. Have you not gathered that these aren't exactly people you can just walk up to and reason with. They're scum. It's not just their appearance.. it's their whole attitude.

They're getting in staring contests with neighbours, hanging around outside listening to gangster rap in packs with their friends at 30-35 years of age, drinking and smoking with kids around. This isn't a movie. I'm not going to walk up with a god damn case of beer, have a stern conversation with them that they don't know how to feel about at first, but come to respect me by the end of it because they like the cut of my jib.

We're not going to exchange firm hand shakes and start sharing in each others hobbies. I'm not going to huff gas and inhale computer duster with them on the weekends and they sure as hell aren't coming to the gym with me at 1:00 am any time soon.

I walk up and try to reason with them and it's going to be met with sarcastic smart ass remarks, #### eating grins and just general disrespect and worst case scenario.. violence.

So, no. It's not a matter of having no balls. It's just I'm not in high school anymore. I'm not going to walk up to a group of idiots who clearly want nothing but trouble and give them the opportunity to play out the fantasies they conjure up in their heads when Eminem gets to the chorus of "Criminal".

Nice try. No car can park within 1.5 meters of a driveway. It's against the law.

I know I shouldn't respond to this and I really don't care that much but seeing as thought I have internet seniority I feel as though it is my god given right to do so - why is actually talking to them in person such an awful idea that you would need to respond with such venom? You insult them ad nauseum here, perhaps they view you in the exact same light as you view them. More than anything you come off as someone who is pretty judgemental and easily angered - not a great neighbour yourself.

Also telling someone to blow you is ironically pretty white trash of you.

I wish you had addressed my earlier questions, but since not let me ask another.

Do you care about your community? Given you've been there 10 years and are claiming "seniority" shouldn't you be setting an example?

Maybe they have this "don't care" attitude (at least according to you) because they don't know anyone else cares.

I've lived in several communities in my 30+ years in Calgary and I've always found the fastest way to neighbourhood peace is communication. My neighbours have come to me when they've had issues and I appreciated that.

Bet you don't have 3 or 4 kids under 5 with you on any given day.
