With Victorino to Boston and Pagan back to the Giants, it seems that the Phillies can't afford Hamilton, my guess is that Hamilton now goes back to Texas.

Yunel Escobar jumps right back into the AL East - joining the Rays via trade for a minor league infielder.

Jason Bay to the Mariners?

It'd be pretty cool to have a couple of BC boys patrolling the Safeco Field outfield.

Jason Bay 4 years ago would have been awesome news, he is truly god awful now though. So surprised he even got an MLB contract and not just a camp invite.

Sean Burnett and Joe Blanton to the Angels.
White Sox sign Keppinger and the D-backs get Eric Chavez and Eric Hinske.

Not sure its been made public yet but it appears the A's have let Brandon McCarthy go as he signs in Arizona. I've sent a text to my friends in Oakland to find out what happened.

Beane said earlier this week it was pretty much a certainty McCarthy wouldn't be back with the A's.

Greinke is going to the Rangers it looks like. Be amazing for them if they got Hamilton as well. Rangers organization is such a power house. Such an incredible farm system and so much MLB talent.

Surprised the Yankees didn't keep Chavez with Rodriguez looking to be out for some time to start the season.

Really at that price I think he's a good platoon guy to have as he can play either corner position, and posted a 281/496/844 hitting numbers. If he's used right and can stay healthy, he can still be a useful player.

They had an offer on the table, one they thought he'd accept except Arizona offered a 2 year deal, A's wouldn't go more than 1 because of health concerns.

This still seems so odd to me. 20 years of sucking beyond belief and suddenly BAM seemingly over night my team is a model franchise??

So odd, but in a good way.

In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if they signed both. I am disappointed that they didn't resign Napoli.

I'd like to see them resign Adams as well.

In similar news, I wouldn't have signed home run happy Uhera in Boston. He should be in a pitcher friendly park to me truly effective, IMO.

I don't think they sucked in the 90s! They just ran into one of the best Yankees teams in history.

Holy mother of god the Phillies are the worst. At least Ron Washington can't bat Michael Young high in the lineup anymore.

I don't think Philly is done. I've changed my mind again, I think Hamilton ends up in Philly and Grienke goes to Texas and as a result of that, Sanchez goes to the Dodgers.

Philly is such a mess. Signing Hamilton would be such a risk with the awful contracts they already have. I'm looking at you Ryan Howard. But I do agree Flickered, Greinke to the Rangers and then the Dodgers really overpay for who's ever left.

What if Texas gets both Hamilton and Grenkie?

Profar
Andrus
Kinsler
Hamilton
Beltre
Cruz
Olt
Soto
Murphy

Greinke
Darvish
Harrison
Holland
Ogando

That's a hell of a team if you get all the lineup pieces to fit

And one of the best farm system in baseball. The Rangers are soo good. I'm not sure how aggressive they'll be on Hamilton if they get Greinke though. That's a ton of money
