On any board with this many active posters, there are going to be people who grind your gears. That's precisely what the ignore feature is for. Not trying to be patronizing, but just in case you don't realize how to use it: go to your profile -->User CP-->Edit Ignore List. It seems like a much better option for you and everyone who enjoys your posts than quitting.
