According to the newspaper The Evening Standard, photographers, including local cameramen not linked to international paparazzi, said the couple were visible from a nearby road as they relaxed on a terrace beside a pool. Prince William appeared to be reading an iPad as Kate rubbed sun cream into his back, the newspaper said.

Wow, lots of Victorian attitudes around here. It's kind of funny to think her boobs are any more important than anyone else's, which aren't very important at all.

Ok, there have been many blatantly incorrect statements in this thread, but to claim that breasts are not very important at all really takes the cake.

Clearly a conspiracy of butt-men everywhere.

Well I'm sure Kate had that talk too.

So now that you told your daughter this and it happens just like it did to Kate how do you feel?

I feel that she had better take steps to avoid this in the future, and if Kate didn't listen or pay attention then more fool her.

I don't think anyone is faulting any lady sun bathing topless. The question is: Should they expect some privacy when they act in private?

It really is a question of where the line is drawn.

Yes I'm sure that is how you feel, I loved to see your daughter's face when she has discovered her breasts are published for all to see and her dad says "well sweetie you had better take steps to avoid this in the future"

You go ahead and sell this line just to be right in a discussion over what should be an upsetting thing for anyones daughter.

If I was famous I'd walk around with my junk out all the time. After a while, the world would be thinking, "please no more pics of jammies' junk! PLEASE!" and I would win vs. the paparazzi.

That being said, if you don't want to share pics of your boobies, you shouldn't have to. And every one of you that searched out the pictures is just as bad as the guy who took them - if nobody sought out celebrity nude pics, these d-bags wouldn't go thru such trouble to get and sell them.

Yeah. Looking at her, you expect something spectacular. Reminded me almost of topless Magda in "There's Something About Mary".

If she didn't know this type of thing would happen then she is a fool or her handlers are fools.

Your ability to confuse/not understand/totally ignore the point is astounding.

Nothing I can say will placate you, so why bother. We have a difference of opinion. I have no sympathy for her or the life she leads or what happens as a result of that life/position. If she doesn't like it, I would suggest there are a large number of women that would take her position in exchange for their lives.

I disagree somewhat. A quick google image search was enough to show me the pictures, I do not agree that doing so makes me just as bad as the guy who took them. Excuse me for wanting to see her boobies, but really she is no different than a random good looking girl I see on the street. I just like boobs famous or not, and if there are pictures of them on the internet I am probably going to look at them.

No it isn't. Tabloid journalism dates back to well over a century.

Reading some of these posts are hilarious...im with the people that believe it comes with the territory...

If you are a professional athlete you risk injury, you choose to be lawyer you risk working late hours, you work at Wendys you risk a crappy wage, you want to be famous, you risk privacy, easy as that..

Sure it is. Supermarket checkout lines weren't filled with tabloids 20 years ago, you had the enquirer and the like but they were always fringe publications. Magazines like People were generally part of the machine, they published what celebs wanted published and worked angles supported by studios and agencies. The vulture like mentality of the tabloid press and the proliferation of that form of coverage is fairly new, especially in North America.

How can you be in private when you are outdoors? You can build a fence in your back yard but from the 2nd floor of their house your neighbors will always be able to see in your yard. There are hundreds of celebrity women that never have their breasts captured on paper. There is no secret to a woman conceal her breasts as when she walks out the door she ensures they are covered. If she wants to walk outside topless she can do that but keep in mind that once outside it's not out of the realm of possibility that someone may see.

You are wrong. Do some research. Heck the National Enquirer is over 50 years old. I was born in Britain and it's part of their culture down there and it's been going a long time. The only difference now is that technology has made it easier.

The origins of Yellow Journalism are more than 100 years old. And this:

In 1890, Samuel Warren and Louis Brandeis published "The Right to Privacy",[19] considered the most influential of all law review articles, as a critical response to sensational forms of journalism, which they saw as an unprecedented threat to individual privacy. The article is widely considered to have led to the recognition of new common law privacy rights of action.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_journalism

Tons of movies to watch from the 1930's on Turner Classic about Yellow Journalism as well.

Boobie pictures are more of a new turn.
