Movie News today...read a short article speculating that Daily Show alumnist Steve Carrel (sp) might be in line to play Joker in the next Batman. Thoughts?

Interesting... he's hilarious, but I wonder if he could play insane/morbid/creepy right.

RESURECTED!!!

Okay, so some friends of mine told me to watch Hostage. I was thinking it would be another typical Bruce Willis movie.. Kinda was, except it was really good.

If you're looking for some blow-em-up action.. RENT HOSTAGE!!

Going to watching Triple X the second one with Ice Cube... Not sure if it will be as good as the first one but it's worth a look considering it's suppose to be an action movie...

Anyone seen it and thoughts?

I saw it and thought it was pretty bad. I usually like those types of movies and enjoyed the first but was bored throughout this movie. I really don't like Ice Cube though so that may have something to do with it.

Well, to some of you this might be the coolest news ever, to other you will have no idea who I am talking about.

Christopher Guest has a new movie coming about, it appears to have a "mockumentry" even though he stated he was done with them (maybe this is his last) but starring in the movie will be non-other then Ricky Gervais.. the creator and star of the BBC smash The Office.

Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy, Fred Willard, Ricky Gervais..Screw your Will Ferrells, screw your Ben Stillers, this is one of the best comedic line ups ever.

Yup, and if you've ever seen The Office you'll know why those two teaming up is an insanely great pairing.

Quote:
When Joaquin Phoenix met Johnny Cash about five years ago, the young actor had no idea that one day he'd be playing the music legend. "We were at a friend's place in L.A.," Phoenix says. "We went into the living room after dinner, and he comes in—his hands were shaking really bad by then—and he picks up his guitar, and the moment he touches the strings, the shake is gone." After Cash's wife, June, joined him, the two sang "I Stood on the Banks of Jordan" together. "It was one of the most special moments of my life," Phoenix says. But the big thrill came later, when Phoenix learned that Cash was a fan of his Oscar-nominated performance as the evil emperor in "Gladiator." "I'm leaving, and he says," and here Phoenix's voice drops an octave into Cash's country lilt, "I really loved that 'Gladiator.' I really like the way you say, 'Your wife moaned like a whore as they ravaged her again and again and again'." Phoenix laughs: "That's the duality of Johnny: he was very, very family-oriented, and yet he was also a s---kicker."
