I noticed he stopped short of saying that the rumors wasn't true though in his full statement.
Quote:
‘I’d like to sincerely apologize to George Cortez, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and most importantly Casey Creehan for the remarks I made on a Montreal radio station on Wednesday. I have been proudly representing Tiger-Cats for the past 10 years and my comments were in no way meant to cause the problems that they did. I became caught up in the moment and inadvertently said some things that were inappropriate. The Tiger-Cats are a first-class organization and I sincerely regret making the comments. I look forward to maintaining my strong relationship with the team.”

Buck Pierce is one tough dude, however the guy is made of glass and I think it would be wise of him just quitting. Winnipeg looks so bad. It looks like its gonna to be a long night for them.

I'm stuck at work and can't watch the game? How is Edmonton up 25-0? Did they figure things out or is Winnipeg that bad tonight?

Thanks.
From what I could gather from Twitter it sounded like the Esks defence was great but their offense was slightly better than Winnipeg's...

Typical CFL, I just noticed that in that scrum #67 (Chris Kowalczuk) got thrown out for Winnipeg. Problem? Yeah, its hilarious and sad since that guy is not dressed for tonight.

I knew the Bombers were going to blow hard this season. Why I keep picking them, I have no idea.

Calgary could be screwed as I was watching SportsCentre last night, Dave Naylor said that Drew Tate may opt for season ending surgery on his shoulder rather than just rehabbing it.

Probably a wise decision for him personally as this isnt his first injury to the same shoulder, clearly there is a problem with its structure at this point..
Sucks for the team no doubt, but if he is the long term solution, best to get this thing dealt with properly now as opposed to keep seeing a potential reoccurence every time he gets hit or tackled.
If this does happen I think its a real possibilty we see BLM sooner rather than later as it can be sold to the fans easier as a bit of a write off season unless the kid can carry the load. Glenn simply cant and i think we all understand that.

Rob Vanstone:
Brad Wall announces that construction will begin on a 33,000-seat, open-air stadium, to open for football in 2017.
New stadium will cost $278 million.
The final $100 million of funding is via a loan from the province to the City of Regina. Loan will be repaid over 30 years.
The $100-million loan will be repaid via an increase in the facility fee from $8 to $12 per ticket.
Province will contribute $80 million over four years. City of Regina is in for $73 million. Riders will lead a process to add $25 million.
Mosaic Stadium will be torn down, with land used for housing. There are also plans to convert CP rail yards land to housing, etc.
The $100 million, repayable over 30 years, is based on Riders continuing to average 30,000 per game.
New stadium will include a spectator roof. It will be roof-ready in case a cover is required down the road. Is there a game today?
New stadium will be expandable to 50,000 for events such as the Grey Cup.

Here's the link to the CFL article on the new Rider stadium. This is great news for the CFL, and the Riders, and the fact that it isn't a retractable roof will save them a couple hundred million. Not sure how the people of Sask will like all of the provincial funding, but the Riders are a big part of their culture.

Downside is that in 5 years, Calgary will have the worst stadium in the league...

Well the Riders got their long awaited TD return and all it took was an obvious block in the back before he even left the end zone.
And of course moron Suitor calls it a good block.

If this is how BC plays for the rest of the year I think it is pretty easy to say there are 0 good teams this year and a bunch of very average teams out there.
Saskatchewan has looked very meh in the first 2.5 games so far and should be easy to beat any game. This is the 2nd week in a row that BC looks like they just don't care and expect to show up and win.
