Numbers are real life, it's perception that isn't real.
I don't think it means it's a crappy product, I still like mine fine, but when watching a movie I did notice that something was a bit off, but I just chalked it up to it being a cheaper tablet. This kind of explains what I was seeing.
This would indicate that the screen actually IS as good as much more expensive products, but that it's being hampered by a bad implementation, which is unfortunate. That's the story that I found interesting.
Hopefully it's firmware fixable, or hopefully they'll swap mine if it's fixed in rev 2 (I had a Dell monitor I had swapped for a similar reason, bad implementation in firmware, non-user flashable).
