That's not the way I heard it. I just heard it as they said there was (only) marijuana in his system, not that they 'blamed' the attack on it. I do agree with your statement of how governments react to drugs, but I don't think even they would be stupid enough to spin this one THAT much. Who knows, maybe different sources reported it differently.

Either way, he clearly wasn't on bath salts, which has become the new bogeyman anyway. Like MJ in the 50's, acid in the 70's, this is the new drug that will destroy you with one dose and turn you into a face eating zombie!

Not that I condone it's use, because it does seem very dangerous, but it does show the governments plan to demonize (and societies misunderstanding of ) drugs.

Like the Greyhound incident in Canada, mental illness is still far more likely, and for more scary than drug use. The only difference is, drug use is (usually, perhaps minus some medications) voluntary, mental illness is not.

P.S. That 'munchies' comment really cracked me up!

Zombies are the least scary plague ever. Doors are an effective obstacle and defense mechanism as are walls, guns, cars, cold, hot... zombies are so weak and so vulnerable it's a joke.

CONPLAN 8888 DISCLAIMER: This plan was not actually designed as a joke. During the summers of 2009 and 2010, while training augmentees from a local training squadron about the JOPP, members o f a USSTRATCOM component found out (by accident) that the hyperbole involved in writing a "zombie survival plan" actually provided a very useful and effective training tool. Planners who attended JPME II at the Joint Combined Warfighting School also realized that training examples for plans must accommodate the political fallout that occurs if the general public mistakenly believes that a fictional training scenario is actually a real plan. Rather than risk such an outcome by teaching our augmentees using the fictional "Tunisia" or "Nigeria" scenarios used at JCWS, we elected to use a completely-impossible scenario that could never be mistaken as a real plan.
...and for god's sake, it's "ZOMBIE."

While that defense plan is quite thorough for dealing with various types of zombies, there is a disconcerting lack of preparation for the zomby threat.

Step up your game, USA.

Well kudos for reading the whole thing. But of course they are going to say that! If they even hinted for bus were real they'd have mass panic.
