Bumgarner has no-hitter going in the bottom of the 6th in Denver.

Colvin just reached third base - Cabrera dived for a ball to try and preserve the no-hitter, and missed.

Default LA Angels 1-6

What is wrong with the Angels having signed Pujols and CJ Wilson, they are off to a 1-6 start and last in their division?

First off, they're 2-4, not 1-6. It's one week and 6 games into a 162 game season!!!!!! Slow starts are not uncommon. Baltimore was 3-0, think they're gonna make the playoffs? Pujols in a new league, he'll adjust quickly and hit to his usual numbers he's done the last 10 years. Not a big deal. CJ Wilson has one start where he pitched real well. Still have one of the best starting rotations in baseball.

Pardon me (was looking at Bosox's record), the Angels are 2-5, they just lost to the Yankees. However, yes it is a long season and slow starts are not uncommon but I am really trying to find out if there are any (rumours) issues in the club house/coaching (?)

Ellsbury left the game for the Red Sox today after trying to break up a double play. Looked really ugly. Beckett with a very strong start today vs the Rays.

Posey got a great reception at his first plate appearance in SF since the injury, and then hit an RBI double (that would be a HR in most ballparks).

2012 season tickets sold out. Waiting list for 2013.

Cain perfect through 5 innings.

Perfect game ended by two out hit by the pitcher McDonald in the 6th..

Cain was masterful in a one-hit shut-out. 0 walks, 11 Ks.

Wow. Nice line for Matt Cain today:

9.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 11 SO CG shutout

One batter over the minimum. At close to a perfect game as you can get.

If Lincecum can return to form, that is the best 1-2-3 in the majors rotation wise, even more then the Phillies.

Which is probably a good thing, because that offense should be back to being brutal any time soon.

Nick Cafardo ‏ @nickcafardo From what I'm hearing the Jacoby Ellsbury injury to his right shoulder doesn't sound good.

I think the offence can be adequate. It's not a Yankees or Red Sox lineup, but I think they have enough If Posey is healthy. Not too many NL lineups feature more than two good hitters, and the Giants have that with Posey and Sandoval.

2-3-4 is fine and you're right in the NL and with that rotation it could be enough. But man has that Giants front office ever made some awful decisons when it comes to filling out that lineup.

The NL West is going to pretty brutal again this year. Hard to pick against SanFran

Playing at AT&T deflates offensive stats too. SF had hits today that would be HRs anywhere else. Offence is okay, and Freddy is hopefully back soon.

Giants closer Brian Wilson likely out for rest of season due to structural issues in pitching elbow.

Scheduled for his second "Tommy John" surgery. Expected to play a role in the club-house.

Sad to see. I'll take him over vanilla baseball players any day. Man the Giants have just been depleted with an insane amount of injuries these last two seasons
