Unless this website is wrong..You are right though they look nothing like they did..Want me to show you a pic when I was 15 and a current picture of me?..It's brutal dude.
I agree people change how they look, and older pics are usually embarrassing, but your looks don't change that dramatically. I think the website is wrong, though I appreciate that's a bold claim.
My quick google images search for more recent pictures of the twins, and not from that website:

Those sisters look a lot different. Surgery or diet.
I was going to suggest that perhaps they battled a jibby rock addiction; however, since they were only stars in Caniada, it is unlikely they could afford that stuff......
If all I could watch was canadian tv programming I would!
The closest I came to watching Degrassi was falling asleep on the couch during the news and waking up with it on..click! off goes the tv and off to bed.
nice reference to danger bay......I am now trying to think of more homegrown CBC programming......
One of the shows I really caught on to after it wrapped up was "Made in Canada" with Peter Keleghan, Rick Mercer, etc. It was kind of like "The Office" was every character was like Dwight Schrute or Michael Scott.

I think there are some rose coloured glasses on here. There's definitely been some gems when it comes to Canadian television:
Degrassi
Kenny vs. Spenny
The Racoons
You Can't Do That on Television
Kids in the Hall
Trailor Park Boys
etc...
However, the majority of the stuff is absolute crap that constantly gets rammed down our throats. Come on, does anyone really enjoy shows like "Little Mosque on the Prarie".

'The Nature of Things' absolutely should be on that list.

Seriously does anyone watch that show? I've caught an episode or two and found it mildly amusing, but I've never heard anyone say "hey did you catch Little Mosque on the Prairie last night?". It seems the only time you ever hear anything it's CBC hyping it up in their own ads.

It's amazing how many of these shows there are too:
Heartland
Mr. D.
Being Erica
Canada's best stuff is definitely the more off beat stuff. Stuff that usually ends up on another station besides the CBC. As much as people like to rag on the American media for its propaganda, I can't ever imagine America having official US state television the way Canada does.

Now's the part of the conversation where I pretend I haven't watched the entirety of Being Erica with my wife... and possibly watched episodes I missed on my own.
it is odd that we have so many talented writers from Canada but can't write good domestic TV for the most part.
Wormius mentioned Made in Canada, I have to vouch for The Newsroom.
There is more lure to the states, I think. And once somebody becomes well-regarded for work in Canada, they get cherry picked away. Look at Chris Haddock, the head writer of DaVinci's Inquest. That was a very good show, based in Vancouver and it wasn't pretending to be something else. Now he's down south with Boardwalk Empire.
Similarly with Due South, people like it, now Paul Haggis is in the states.

That show has Brett Parker from Power Play in it, doesn't it?
