Obviously nothing official yet, but any idea if the Pats game will be Saturday or Sunday? I would think CBS would be eager to get the higher profile AFC game on Saturday night, and that has to be Steelers/Broncos @ Patriots.

Tale of 2 halfs for Saints v Lions. First half the Lions seemed to have the edge but the second half was a Superbowl contendeer vs a team that wasn't in the same class. Brees being the great leader he is just took over.
He is outstanding.

Great game last night, that was heart attack city in the 1st half, especially with those 2 turnovers. Brees was the obvious game MVP with 33/43 for 466 yards, but man what a game by Pierre Thomas! Picked up some critical 1st downs when the game was still very much in doubt, how he got that 1st on that 3rd & 10 screen deep in their own zone is beyond me. Game MVP 1a. Great job by the Saints OL too, basically eliminated Suh all night.
Strong game by the Lions O, especially that first half. Stafford is going to be a very good QB in this league, hell he is already. And nothing more needs to be said about Megatron, double covered and 211yds/2TD's, WOW. I like that team, tough draw for them in their first playoff game in 12 seasons. I think they may have beaten NY had they landed that #5 seed.

Atlanta's best CB Brent Grimes is inactive these afternoon. Tough break for them, I'm changing my pick of Atlanta to win to the Giants.

I'm looking forward to the Saints and Niners game next week. Teams who play very contrasting styles in the elements. San Francisco had a good record against playoff teams allowing an average of 10 points a game. The Saints points per game in outdoor games is a lot less than in domes. The Niners are the red herring of the NFC playoff teams with how they play the old formula of defense, run the ball, and kick a lot of field goals.

yeah that is a very interesting match-up.....admittedly i havent watched a lot of niner games this year, so to me they are a bit of a mystery. I still dont think they have an offense that can win against a NO/GB offense, but i really want to see them in a pressure game first....playoff football always used to be about good defense supplemented by a decent offense....that seemingly has completely flip-flopped this year...even GB last year had a stellar D to get in, then the offense took over. Now it appears its about scoring a ton and holding the other team to fewer...meaning turnovers have never been as glaring as they are now.
Should be fun.

Nicks has great hands. I don't think I've seen him drop a pass ever.

Yikes, I watched a few Giants games these year and he dropped 3 or 4 TD's that he should have had easily.

It's impressive how the Giants keep finding these WR's, they've built up a decent core there the past couple years. Every year they seem to have a new go-to guy. In '09 it was Steve Smith, last year it was Nicks, now its Cruz. Think its also a testament to Eli's progression as a QB. When he's not having one of his mopey games anyway..
EDIT: Ouch, was that helmet to helmet? Would be a huge loss if Pierre-Paul is out, obviously.

Roddy White drops a pass, what a surprise. What a pear-shaped loser.
