There was no Bill Buckner moment but the Red Sox in 86 also took a 2 run lead in the top of the 10th on a home run and were a strike away from the World Series.

True, I just thought that Cruz might get the loss unfairly placed on him for not making that catch in the 9th.

I'm going to make one post about the game before I head to bed.
While everyone talks about the Rangers bullpen choking, remember the Cards did as well. Both teams had a ton of errors, neither team played well. I don't think it's fair to say that one team choked without qualifying that the other team played just as bad.
That said, I have no idea why Darren Oliver was out there at all in the 10th inning. This is evidenced by the post I made when I saw he took the mound. He sucks, his era is that of a jetliner, and always has been.
I can't believe the Rangers lost that game. I'm literally heartbroken. Yes there is one more game, but it should be over now. As I type this one of my best friends texted me "if you knew this was going to be the outcome at the beginning of the season, you would have taken it". In fairness, that's a line I use all the time in situations like these. However, and this is possibly the cloudiness of the loss talking, I may have said no, losing in that fashion is too painful. Only if I knew we'd win game 7 would I accept this outcome.
You know, I started cheering for the Calgary Flames after they won the cup, the real reason because I heard they won the game the night before (I didn't even know about the championship, etc). So essentially I've been a Flames fan longer than anyone else on the planet, who hasn't seen them win the cup. I've been a Rangers fan since the following summer. They're the two teams I watch, cheer for, live for, bleed for. I just want to see one of my teams win, at least once in my lifetime. I want to know what a championship actually feels like.
I was so close today, yet it was taken away.
The thing that sucks about being a sports fan, watching other teams win multiple times, and you suffer nothing but heartbreak.
Do Cinderella teams ever actually win? No offence moon, but in this case I hope not.
I can't believe this, I don't remember the last time I felt sick to my stomach like this. I've lived the thrilling close game to win it all, only to suffer defeat and go back for a final game winner takes all showdown. I lost.
I hope the Rangers take it tomorrow, I just can't take another loss like this
