30-year-olds don't often win majors either.

Based on how Nadal is dismantling Murray, I'd set the Spaniard as my favourite for Monday.

It's tough to say Nadal is the favorite tomorrow. He's been owned by Djokovic all year this year. I have my doubts that Murray can pull off a victory here but it's not over yet.

Djokovic won me over last year at the US Open Semi's when he had the balls to go for some huge winners match point down. He did it again to Federer this year and even played it up with the crowd at the most critical juncture of the game. He showed today why he's the best right now.

Mainly, I think Nadal has played better tennis in this tournament overall. Djokovic has struggled at times, and he did have to retire in the last tournament (Cincinnati?). I'd definitely like to see the Serbian win, however.

Predictions for the finals? I say Serena in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4 and Nadal in four sets.

Not only is CBS' announcing in general very annoying, I wish they would get over that disputed point already. Venus screwed up, it probably should not have been counted as a penalty against her, but whatever. She broke back, and that was now five games ago. Move on already!

But it happened to one of their darlings.. it's an outrage.

Also they're treating Stosur like she's 5. Any little thing and she's so fragile and Serena could run her over at any time. They're already talking about if it goes 3 Serena will crush her. Stosur is 9th in the world, tough a nails Aussie. She might still lose but she's not going anywhere anytime soon.

They don't broadcast men like this. Can you imagine in the past when Federer was king and the other guy (Murray, Djokovic) won a set.. they would't say "Murray's play has gone down a bit, he might crumble soon because the king will win the next 3 sets easily".

Edit: Stosur with the break!

Well, if it does go three, Serena would crush her, mostly because that is what usually happens.

But damn, nice recovery by the fragile little foreign girl!

Perhaps that is common but in television you can't say that.. each set is a different set.

2 championship points!

Great match by Stosur. I thought she would go down easily.

Funny how the #9 player beating the #28 player is an "upset" according to CBS (even though I know Serena has been crazy good the last 2 weeks)

It actually is. Williams was only the 28 seed because her small number of tournaments this year kept her score low. She steamrolled EVERYTHING in her path to the final.

So sad to see the classy Serena lose the match. Her and loud mouth Roddick deserve to lose.

In tennis you never know, a point is a point, a game is a game, a set is a set.

Commentators still being stupid.

"Stosur showed great composure to withstand all that".

withstand what? it was a 6-2,6-3 beatdown.
