"Eagles agreed to terms with QB Michael Vick on a six-year, $100 million contract with $40 million guaranteed.
We'd have to see annual particulars to comment with 100-percent accuracy, but it's an eye-popping commitment to a 31-year-old quarterback who relies so much on his athleticism. Vick was previously scheduled to play this season on a $16.2 million franchise tag. It will be interesting to see how Vick develops when his speed starts to diminish. While he made strides as a passer last season, Vick's attribute that scares opponents most is still his run threat".
36m guaranteed

Eff me that's some serious coin. I'm a dog killing Vick fan but damn that sounds like quite the commitment after one year of playing well and being injured for a quarter (give or take) of it.

Sanders already has a work out with Atlanta today.
Wouldnt be surprised at all to see the pats sign a saftey in the coming days especially after the Hill and Sharper workouts they are fairly thin at saftey with brown as the only backup.

Detroit might be able to better that 8-8 prediction.

I guess the $36,000,000 guaranteed will allow Vick to pay off his creditors. Maybe he will manage his money better this time around.

If Stafford can stay healthy I think with their defence they have a shot at a wild card.

The true expert predictions. What the bookies are saying (over/under on wins and what's favoured). Oddly there aren't any numbers for the Colts, Titans, and Texans.
Arizona - 6.5 (over)
Atlanta - 10.5 (under)
Baltimore - 11 (under)
Buffalo - 5 (over)
Carolina - 4.5 (over)
Chicago - 8.5 (under)
Cincinnati - 5.5 (under)
Cleveland - 6.5 (over)
Dallas - 9 (under)
Denver - 6 (over)
Detroit - 7.5 (over)
Green Bay - 11.5 (under)
Jacksonville - 6 (over)
Kansas City - 8 (under)
Miami - 8 (under)
Minnesota - 7 (under)
New England - 11.5 (under)
New Orleans - 10 (over)
NY Giants - 9.5 (under)
NY Jets - 10 (under)
Oakland - 7 (under)
Philadelphia - 10.5 (over)
Pittsburgh - 11 (under)
San Diego - 10 (over)
San Francisco - 8 (under)
Seattle - 6.5 (under)
St. Louis - 7.5 (under)
Tampa Bay - 8 (under)
Washington - 6.5 (under)

I'm surprised Chicago, Dallas, KC & Tampa are all picked to go under their already low'ish targets. Guess we'll see..

I'm not. KC and Tampa have much harder schedules than they did last year and Dallas has a terrible defense. I really see the NFC East as a weak division this year, which is why I'll be pretty disappointed if the Eagles don't at least pull out 11 wins.

Whats the deal with TSN hijacking ESPN fantasy football today? I see TSN is pimping their new fantasy deal they have with ESPN. But if you want to access your team some pop up comes up demanding you enter some contest. It looks like the only way around this is to consent to give TSN and the NFL your personal information.
Looks to me like someone wants to put some type of spyware on your computer so they can use your credit card to pay for their new shoes and an anal bleaching.

Former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor scored 7 on his first crack at the Wonderlic intelligence test but then took the test again the next day and scored 21.
Using information obtained from NFL personnel people, Pryor answered 48 of the 50 questions in the 12-minute test and got 7 correct. That was on Aug. 20 during his pro day before 17 NFL teams at Hempfield High School in Pennsylvania.
On Aug. 21, Pryor answered 46 of the 50 questions and got 21 correct.

Odds are enticements to bet, not necessarily predictions. Odds-makers know fans are prone to over-rate/under-rate certain teams.

That's actually been revealed to be a bit of a myth. The myth goes that teams like the Cowboys and Steelers are given bigger spreads because their fans will bet them to win/beat/cover no matter what, but this really doesn't make any sense if you think about it. Any smart gambler would clean them out on these odds if this were the case. The revenue brought in my soaking casual and even hardcore fans who only bet on their teams (usually in small amounts) wouldn't be enough to offset the losses paid out to the hardcore gamblers.

An example I would use would be the Eagles. As an Eagles fan, I see this team getting somewhere between 11-13 wins. So with the O/U being set at 10.5, you'd think it would be an easy bet for me to take the over, however the over is also set at -151, which means I'd have to bet $151 to win $100. That's a lousy a bet for such a high number of wins.

I was hoping that after a few days they would have fixed it so you weren't forced to sign up. I figure i will give it a couple more days since we already had our draft. Stupid TSN.
