Spending $500/semester on text books which I rarely use.

4 semester now and I've wasted about $1600 on books I don't need. There have been a few where I actually needed to read, but for the most part, the lecture notes cover everything you need to know, yet I need to buy a $130 book. Pisses me off.

Luckily for my last couple semesters I don't need to buy any books.

^ That's where the ones you don't need "now", are going to pay off.

Why did you keep on buying books then? I learned after 2nd year you didn't really need to.

Was going to say the same thing. You can find out pretty quickly (within the 1st week) if you need to buy the book or not.

Thanks pylon & Bigtime - it has been a difficult time (she was our first child). However, my wife is pregnant again and due in January, so we're trying to be as optimistic as possible.

You would be correct. She did use the money though to go back to school and get one (yay for her)

I paid (large amount) in taxes last year, man it was difficult to pay (now you know that I make a lot of money).

Small price to pay, as I am too pretty for jail. (I wasn't facing charges that would give me jail time.)

The $5.00 that I gave to Fotze's momma was pretty hard to part with. Its not like she didn't work for it, she just isn't very good.

Well, from Hesla's and Table's numbers you can't tell which one of them made more money, only what their EXTRA taxes owing were.

One of my clients has all of us topped. They sold property in Taiwan or someplace and had cap gains taxes of about three-quarters of a million dollars.

Edit -I think it was Hong Kong.

I live in Vancouver. Every time I pay an extra 30 cents/l at the gas pump or 12% HST on something I've purchased I die a little inside.

I need to move. Soon.

Good to hear.

Hearing stories like that makes me realize how lucky we are to have the health care system we do, no matter how flawed it can be in some circumstances. No parent should have to pay for something like that.

The bill for my dog's euthanasia and cremation - three months after $5,000's worth of tests that confirmed she DIDN'T have cancer - which, of course, she did. So not just the hardest bill but the suckiest.

I don't know what hookers your ****ing or what drug dealers you use, but if they're sending you bills, they're doing it wrong.

"hey, meet me in the safeway parking lot in Richmond"

"k, be there in 2 minutes"

""hey man, what do you want"

"8 ball"

"K, that'll be $180........what's that?"

"It's $180"

"What kind of two bit operation do you think this is? Your bill will arrive in 2-3 weeks, and is due the 31st. If you go over that date, the 19% interest rate kicks in"

I paid for a week long vacation in Mexico with my ex. We basically broke up as we landed and we spent a week of hell together and I then got the 5000$ bill and paid for the whole damn thing.

Not nearly as bad as some of you guys though.
