I would honestly just recommend swinging by Canadian Tire and picking up a wood stick for like 12 bucks. If hockey doesn't work out you have yourself an awesome ice scrapper for the winter.

Just picked up a new twig from PHL. Apparently the $24 Reebok 2k w/ ABS blade counts as a composite, which means it comes with with a 30 day warranty.
How long until we put them out of business?

Maybe not at all. That's the stick I use and I broke two last week, but they lasted over a year.
