If they have no problem with Nike paying players to go to Oregon now I doubt it would change if it became legal.

I am not naive to think that no players at UT have gotten special favors from boosters. I do think that Mack Brown probably doesn't know about it. I consider OU's program clean, not because I don't think players aren't getting things, but because Stoops doesn't hide it from the NCAA when he finds out about it. That's the most you can ask from a program in my opinion. I would like to think that Mack is the same as Stoops in that if he finds out about transgressions he tells the NCAA about them and acts accordingly.

A month without a post. Since this season is actually a sure thing, here are a couple of sporcle quizzes to get the juices flowing. Can you come up with the nicknames of all of the FBS and FCS schools?

104 on the big schools for me
39 for the FCS.

That was one thing I noticed when I was down in San Diego last year, Americans sure love football! There is even an ESPN channel that plays nothing but college football? Never saw a single highlight in the evening from a hockey game on any of the sports channels.

lol I knew about 20 more so I should have been around 95 not bad for a 3rd generation Canadian, no excuses but I ran out of time. I would say the average Canadian knows about 20 NCAA teams and nicknames. Between spelling and my typing slow tying I was just trying to push out as many as I could. So are you a Tide fan?

Texas A&M to the SEC
So I don't know if you guys have been paying attention but reports came out this week that Texas A&M was thinking of moving to the SEC again. I have from a good source that it's official and they will be moving. I am being told that nothing can stop it now. I will say that I've never received any inside info from anybody on A&M before, but I do trust the person who told me this as he is a good friend and wouldn't just lie about it. So take that for what it's worth.

I dont think the pac 10 will want Texas. Texas just recently signed a deal with ESPN IIRC to have their own tv network. The Longhorn sports network. I dont think Pac10 or the SEC will like that network stealing their revenue or TV air time. I think Texas might become independent. I think OU will go to SEC also but I also think Oklahoma State will have to go anywhere OU goes .
I am sure Big 12 will try to recruit some other team but I just dont know what big name teams they could get. Local sports radio here in Oklahoma say possibly Arkansas but what can Big 12 offer that SEC cant? If not Arkansas then maybe smaller named teams that are bigger players in College football like BYU , TCU, Boise st ?

I don't know how to feel about this. Being a Utah fan we just got in to a BCS conference now the landscape might change again. If it does go four super conferences and they only play each other then it could get really interesting quick.
Can't wait for the season to start I have tickets to all of Utah's home games and one road.
