in a nutshell, 1-1 in Zagreb is not a bad result. Think that's fair too, both teams hit the post in the second half. Think Salzburg would have needed the win today in order to progress to the last 16, but finishing 3rd should be realistic.

They've always loved him for some reason.
I think they recognize they need to rebuild, but aren't quite sure exactly how to do it at this point or who should lead the initiative.
Think they won't fire him until they figure that out.

Fair enough Craig. Fair enough.

also Club Brugge already qualified for the last 16, in a group with Atletico, Leverkusen and Porto. Just as we all expected.

Mohamed Salah came off the bench and scored the fastest hat trick in Champions League history as he helped Liverpool to a dominant 7-1 victory at Rangers on Wednesday and eliminate the Scottish side from the competition.
Salah replaced Nunez on 68 minutes and netted a quick-fire hat trick, with just six minutes and 12 seconds separating his first and third goals. Harvey Elliott added a seventh for Liverpool on 87 minutes to cap a successful night for Jurgen Klopp's side.

I forgot about that, that was grim.
Nothing compared to Mbappe though. Say what you will of Mbappe, he brought entitlement to the next level.
He saw what Messi did and proclaimed "Hold my wine..."

Bold but incorrect. Rangers have won the most Scottish championships so clearly only one team in Glasgow.
On a more serious note, CL shows how much funding over a period of time can influence depth of squad. It’s 1-1 and Rangers lose the starting CB to injury. Rangers bring on a backup; Liverpool (eventually) bring on Salah. Now Salah is up against an 18 year old. No complaints though. As long as Rangers continue to drive the coefficient alone and Scottish Premier League keeps thinking small, all Scottish teams will struggle at the top club level.

The last time Rangers made it out of the group stage of the Champions Leage was 2005-06, and that was the only time they've ever done it.

For comparison, the second team in Glasgow hasn’t gotten out of the group stage since 2012/13, and hasn’t even qualified for the group stages since 2017/18. If it wasn’t for Rangers deep runs in the Europa League including the final, the coefficient wouldn’t have moved at all including the automatic qualification this season.
I digress though because all Scottish teams can use the revenue and all Scottish teams need better coefficients including the national teams. I just obviously see things through a blue lens.

Inter doing their job against Pilsen (3-0 after 70 minutes), so that's it for Barca.

You're watching the Champions' League? I thought you were Thursdays.
You know, the return trip from Moldova.

Imagine selling the rights to hundreds of millions of euro of future revenue for Lewandowski to score a bunch of goals while you finish second in the league and crash out in the group stage.
Hilarious club, eat #### Barca.

I have no love for Real, but Barca have seriously screwed up.
I dont even know what people want to say. Trading future revenues for current solvency is insane.
That is a club being run by children.
Remember that time they kept on strumming to the world that their academy was the greatest thing since sliced bread? Thats where you should have been getting your players from rather than spending money you dont have on players you cant afford.
