Burke signed this guy as a free agent out of college: http://theahl.com/stats/player.php?id=4489, who's basically Gaudreau's size without the same production.
Pretty clear he's willing to sign small college guys.

Burke will go into next camp with the mindset that Johnny will spend the year in Abby.
However, I fully expect Johnny to blow his expectations completely out of the water and barge his way into the NHL team mix just like Monahan did.
And even if Burke/his GM pet insist, then it'll be a lot of fun to watch him tear up the AHL with the rest of the pro graduates anyways. I'll be perfectly happy with that scenario as well.
I just wanna see that ELC get signed.

Can't wait to see Johnny in Calgary. Obviously the size concerns don't make him a sure thing but I do really feel he has the skill, IQ, and most importantly the determination to be very successful in the NHL.
I so think he spends half if not all of next season on the Heat but long term I think he will be a star in our city for years to come

Nothing is stacked against him - he's small, but other guys are slow, or don't play defense, or whatever. It's a simple issue of making the team or not making the team, just like everyone else.

With Brian Burke running the show and his vision of truculence that is why the odds of making this team are stacked against him. If he can cantribute to the flames with out getting killed against the best players in the world would be great but I'm really not expecting much to come from gaudreau.

Gaudreau likes to "taste the rainbow".
There is nothing manly about skittles.

And I don't see the problem with having some skittles before the game... so the kid plays on a sugar rush, anyone here with kids should know what that is like.
As long as it's not his main diet, whatever.
I remember an NBA player, his name however eludes me, used to drink a large cup of coffee, and had candy before every game... gave him that jolt.
Besides, maybe it's a superstitious things as well. Don't want to mess with that, but if 99% of the time he eats healthy, and that 1% he has some skittles because he believes it gives him powers, then all the power to him.

When Gaudreau looks like this without a shirt then he can eat skittles in game for all I care.
Edit: can't post the picture but Chara is absolutely chizzled and ripped.

Would love it if this kid tens into the player we all hope he can be for this team and 3 years from now the dome is full of Johnny Hockey jerseys. They could give away free bags of skittles to somebody whenever he scores.

The player can be UNhealthy 99% of the time for all I care, so long as he's dominating games the way Johnny does.
Since when is anyone's diet our business, anyways? Geez..
I heard some friends discussing my diet once because I like to snack late at night and I just told them to buzz off. I'm in better shape than them anyways as I have equally as much healthy food and keep active. Nothing wrong with having some variety in your diet.
