Ooh a topic I feel strongly about. Chocolate bars are my weakness. I'm gonna come across as a snob (as much as someone can be a snob about everyday chocolate bars) but I don't care for much of the stuff available over here.
Grew up in Ireland so have a preference for lots of stuff from there. You can get them here in British stores or in British aisles in grocery stores here but the prices are a rip off. I have some sent over from Ireland every now and then. Absolute favourites are Fry's Chocolate Cream (original and peppermint), Wispa and any of the Galaxy range. Yorkies are good too.
There are some bars that I like here but we can also get them back home so they don't really count - Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat, Crunchie and of course the Dairy Milk range. Also Skor which are known as Dime back home.
So what do I like of the Canadian stuff? Not much but Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are amazing. I used to really like Coffee Crisp. Hershey's is frickin nasty but a Jersey Milk is decent. Nothing else comes to mind. Though weirdly I've really fallen for a Dollarama bar lately. They have a Kit Kat chunky knock off for 3 for a $1 and it's much nicer than a Kit Kat. Think it's called 4 All?. I always pick up a handful of those.
Emerald Irish caramels are the absolute nuts.
Slightly off topic, but both Tayto Cheese and Onion crisps tower over anything in Canada, but Northern Taytos are easily the best.

The WORST chocolate bar ever invented is Mars! not sure how Martians eat that crap!
and how can you hate big turk? it's a like a giant gummy bear covered in chocolate! lol
My fave bar is Watchamacallit.
I feel like I’ve got a good case for suing the makers of Big Turk into oblivion. I’ve been going to Greece for years, and for the longest time, I couldn’t look at loukoumi (Greek version of Turkish Delight) without thinking of barfing. All because of that bastard rectangle of vomit that is a Turkish Delight candy bar.
It is only recently that I tried real Turkish Delight and loukoumi, and it is beautiful. I’d happily imprison for life, anyone involved in the manufacture, distribution and sale of Turkish Delight candy bars.

Has anyone else noticed that Crispy Crunch has become very hard to find recently (since around Halloween)? I hope Cadbury isn't thinking of discontinuing them.
I had noticed this as well, they've definitely been more scarce. However, a couple weeks ago Sobeys (Airdrie) had a fresh box out which I've been taking from, and it looks like it was replaced by another new box recently, so maybe they just had some supply issues or something. They're not old boxes they dug out of the back, they have expiry dates in like 2025, so not sure why they're getting harder to find. Just makes them more special I guess.
Yes Wig Wam are the same as Curly Wurly, and I have seen them locally in Calgary stores plenty of times. Often come across them in Bulk Barn stores.
They still stick to your teeth like glue in case anyone is curious.
I know what you’re talking about, but I think the ones we get here are stale. I first had them from one of the British candy stores that was in Eau Claire, and then also had them in England and they were soft and not so sticky. The ones we get here kind of suck.
