Really hard not to like how different this team looks after the Lindholm trade.

Hanging with 27:46. Are they showcasing him or giving him #1 minutes to entice him to sign? Either way I like it.

Pelletier was so happy for Rooney to score. I'm guessing they spent lots of time together rehabbing.

Can we trade Marc Savard before the deadline? It will turn out better than last time, I swear.

Flames are fun, whether they win or lose. All the Flames have done since the off-season is unload vets for futures, and they just keep winning, and they are so much fun to watch while they do it.

Duehr looks a lot better now too. Funny what some speed and energy will do.

Backlund and Coleman what more can you say. They are the reason we can even dream about the playoffs. And Markstrom.

I sometimes wonder how many friends he has left on the team after Gaudreau and Tkachuk left.

Only 2 games
But
It’s starting to walk like a duck
Perhaps we are reading too much into it though
These are professionals after all

Yeah, we'll only know for sure when there's a larger sample size, after some adversity, etc.

But dang, if the chemistry isn't evident out there.

I still can't believe we got a player who had 39 goals and 70+ points just last year, plus, plus, plus, PLUS for Lindholm.

Like WTF?

Of all the post game celebration stuff, this might be my favorite. Keep doing it!

But you now know what this means. Like Zamler, Gaskal, and others, people will now be upset if you don't post one of these after a win. It's a curse and a blessing.

And it's looking like he was just held back by his coach this year. Still deadly in the right role/situation.

Trade was Benning-esque as far as rental acquisitions go lol.

V=NG. Best swap with them since Baertschi for Andersson!

Thoughts on the game:

Zary continues to be Mr. Opportunistic. I ain't mad, just sayin'.

I thought that Markstrom held his team in it for the first 10 minutes, but you should never apologize for good goaltending. He definitely saved 2 or 3 goals above expected tonight, but then the Flames also hit 2-4 posts as well, so it all evens out.

Two guys that made bad turnovers in Mangiapane and Kuzmenko found a way to even it up with a goal each. That's how you make up for a bad play. Good stuff.

Fits and spurts tonight for the team overall. Not quite as dominant as the Boston game, but still very good overall. I hated that 4 minute powerplay in the 3rd. I question whether or not Savard keeps his job at the end of the year. That was hard to watch.

One last thought: I think Pachal is quite the surprise in his skating and mobility. You think "tough stay at home defender" and the thought of a slower, plodding skater comes to mind. Not him. That rush in the 1st was unbelievable. Watch it again, he got robbed of a goal. I think he needs to pick and choose more about when to rush the puck as he got caught a couple of times, but his mobility is evident. That's a nice bonus. I think if they're patient with him he'll be a great pick up.

It's usually about this time that Backlund starts to play his best hockey of the season.

Duehr was fantastic tonight, and has been great in the 2nd half of the season. I wouldn't be so quick to dump him for Greer.

Awwww yeahhhhhh....great game by Markstrom.

Definitely recommend going to a Devils game for those in NYC. Fans were awesome. Met so many Devils and flames fans at the Biergarten before hand and then inside the Rock. Good natured ribbing and they all loved the idea of Tanev + for Mercer. Lol.

Next up..Sat vs Isles.

Except for Jack...Quinn is better and they take that very hard.
