Very interesting how they had video of the truck travelling miles away. The amount of canvassing they must’ve done to get those videos, must’ve been staggering.
On another note, the guys are out on bail. There are videos of them online just casually walking over to their car. Crazy.

How else would they be walking to their car? Haha of course they're out on bail because in the grand scheme of things this isn't a huge deal. It's not a violent crime and these crimes usually get bail with restrictions like taking their passports away.
I mean they are presumed innocent even if most were likely involved I doubt the police actually know the true extent of each one's involvement yet.

It's crazy that they have only found a very small percentage of the gold.

One of them was a jeweler so they probably just melted them down in smaller increments. I doubt they ever find it all.

That's a lot of melting, apparently some small bracelets were melted but IRRC this was a large amount of gold. But I don't know a jewelers capacity to melt large amounts of gold

THey found stuff for melting down gold at the house. Belief is they melted down the goal and turned it into bangles and had people wear them back to India.

I'm glad you see how it looks when you post "deport" without even knowing if they are Canadian citizens and can't be deported anywhere.
You wouldn't have said it if they were white. A little reflection is ok.

I believe you can be deported if you are a Canadian citizen if you also hold dual citizenship from another country. It's why some political refugees renounce the citizenship of their original country once they get Canadian citizenship, to avoid any chance of being sent back. You just can't make someone stateless. At least I know it used to be the case from personal experience.
Having said that, they shouldn't be deported either way. They deserve to be in jail assuming they are proven guilty. Deporting them, to probably where the money is, wouldn't be much of a punishment.

Not too sure about that but either way we dont know if they hold dual citizenship and they could be born in Canada.
When someone's first thoughts are to deport without even knowing someone's citizenship or place of birth that just screams racism to me. If they were from Sweden or ukraine nobody would mention deportation.
