Did they get it? Also, did they need to know the Flames or just Calgary?
If they didn't need the team name, it was basically a geography question.

They accepted Calgary as the answer
There was also a funny quirk the other night where the last word of the previous answer was the first word of the next question…even though it was in a completely different category

Amy got it. I believe she just replied with Calgary, which was accepted by Jennings.
Really enjoyed seeing that whole Canadian Sports category

Yes, she answered "What is Calgary?" and Jennings responded, "Right, the Flames." I agree, it was basically a geography question, and I think it would have been more challenging if the clue was worded "the Oilers" instead of "Edmonton".

seems like in the phrasing of the question Calgary would have been the more desired answer over Flames. If it's accurate that said Edmonton, and they did not in fact say Oilers as the first Alberta team.

Watching the 'Professors Tournament' recently and a few thoughts.
First of all, I hope this is a one-off. Nobody wants to see their Professors out of school. When they're done their last lesson of the day they should creep back into their cryo-pods.
These people have all the charisma and personality of a corpse left in the desert too long.
Further, I finally figured out who Mayim Bialik reminds me of!
If they're going to go with Jennings, just go with Jennings. Bialik is like nails on a chalkboard.

I think it's clear their preference is to have Bialik do it full-time, but she's committed to her crappy Fox sitcom, so they have to wait until it's inevitably cancelled before they can make it official. Jennings is just there to fill in for the few weeks she's not available.

That would really suck because she is borderline unwatchable.

I can't stand her. I was really hoping to find a Gif of her saying "that is correct" or something because for some reason when she says that on the show, I find it incredibly annoying. I think it comes across as condescending?

My wife cant stand her either. If my wife stops watching Jeopardy with me because of Bialik we're going to have a problem.

Really? Jennings much better at hosting than her - more charismatic and natural.

When she "acts" I want to throw my TV off my balcony. She can be ok at times, but usually terrible.

I am getting killed during professors week. The categories are different than what is normal with a higher degree of traditional academic categories. My average is down about 20-25 percent

Also if people want a blast from the past, Game Show Network is replaying "Sale of the Century". I loved it as a kid but watching it now I don't know why. Has an interesting premise where you can "buy" things with your points throughout the game, but in doing so potentially lower your chances of winning.
The prizes are fun though: A typer writer! A home entertainment centre with a BETA tape player! A fur coat! A slide projector!

Remember when Wheel of Fortune worked like that? You had the prize money and then basically had a shopping session to spend it on things.
