On December 30th, Hurtig was loaned to Kristianstads IK of the HockeyEttan- Sweden's third-tier Men's league, where he had himself an assist, and was even, in a 5-4 win over Tranas AIF.

Tough crowd.
I take it a goaltender was first star?

Morin was 2nd star, with 1g/2a, +1 in a 6-2 victory over Saint John. 31gp/8g/20a/28pts,+5, 10 PIM, tied for 6th in D scoring. The scoring race for defensemen in the Q is extremely tight, with the leader (Jeremy Langlois of Rouyn-Noranda) having 33 points.

Honzek was credited with another assist last game. 10 points in 6 games.
Additionally the Giants went out and acquired Connor Levis from Kamloops which will help beef up their top six.

Impressed by Lipinski so far. Seems to have better hands than I assumed. He was doing well even before the return of Honzek.
Would be great to see a fourth rounder turn into something, even it its bottom six forward.

I agree- he started slow, but seemed invigorated by Honzek's return from injury, and then managed to keep up while Honzo was at the WJC. In the 8 games that Honzo was gone to the WJC, Lipinski had 8 points. He still loves having his buddy around though, as he has collected 13 points in the 7 WHL games that Honzek has been in the lineup.

Lipinski was a sneaky-good pick, at least offensively. On a pretty lean Vancouver group, he's produced pretty consistently.

Was at the game, he was the best playerr in the game, he was used in all situations , had a really good first period with a few hits, partial breakaway shorthanded but was stopped, Seems to find a way to get his shot through.
