Just drove by a lady with a Solidarity bumper sticker on her truck and an Arthur Pawlowski sign in the window; I hope she manages to recruit a lot of support and votes by tomorrow!
I love the option of advance voting. I'm going to go and vote later today. I'd rather do it now, on a nice, relaxing Saturday afternoon, rather than worry about traffic and lines after work on Monday.
What is even the point of advance voting now?
Just make the regular vote a week long affair. You have from May 28-June 3 to vote - easy as that.
Does that require a consitutional amendment or something?

Drove by a big 4x4 Pawlowski sign near Richmond Rd.. Someone put googly eyes on him. I laughed.

I’m sure having the vaccine mandate still in effect helps the problem you’re right.
Aren’t there other nurses that work with you that complain about it?
My wife is a nurse and we don't know of a single Doctor or Nurse that is unemployed or lost their job at the hospital we work at, or any other hospital for that matter because they didn't get vaccinated. Were there a few(out of hundreds) that weren't happy about it? Sure but in the end common sense won out and they got vaccinated.

Lets move to BC to be with my political kin! Whaaaaat I can’t afford a home!??
How about Toronto…
These threats on both side are hilarious no one is going anywhere
Not everywhere in BC is as expensive as Vancouver. There are plenty of places you can move to in BC that are at worst the same price as a Calgary home.

I think It’s a staffing thing. Election day has around 5 times the locations and are much more local to peoples homes. The other thing is the advanced stations were all computerized voting ledgers whereas election day you are struck off the physical voters list. Voters list are printed out after the close of advance voting identifying who voted.
When you say make election day a week long what do you see as the difference between that and what was done this time?

I know of one. Rural area. But I think the fact that your wife doesn’t know any shows how the mandate for HCWs was likely negative the increased risk of infection from staff likely didn’t outweigh the loss of staff members.
It was likely a poor policy to implement if your end goal was mitigati g damage to the healthcare system.

I’ve mostly been looking on Vancouver island, and it doesn’t look to be a problem to get something equivalent. Some friends just bought in Invermere and it was cheaper than Calgary for sure. Kamloops is cheaper I think and Kelowna about the same. Lots of options in nice places.
