Sweden has also been one of the more vocal countries to call out Orban on his government's democratic and freedom backsliding over the years and encouraged sanctioning him within the EU. As soon as Orban had a chance to stick it to Sweden, he took advantage of it. Like with Finland though, I don't think the Hungarian parliament will block Sweden from joining the alliance now that Turkey looks like they are going to approve it.

They are also "old tech".

Good to know there were no Chinese in Korea. Glad that free Tibet situation never happened.

Oh, wait…

Yes, there was that time when China didn't invade Vietnam in 1979 as well...

Came across an interesting article about a highly decorated and talented Ukrainian Airforce MIG-29 pilot who was recently KIA.

He was selected 2 years ago to attend a US Airforce flight training school for foreign pilot training. He got caught up in some of the mud and bureaucracy that often happens with military and was eager to get back but had to complete what some of his instructors thought was lower level training hours.

Hopefully NATO and western nations are able to quickly train and rotate Ukraine's best and potentially brightest fighter pilots on the F16 and other more advanced airframes.

God speed to them all

Even if they weren't a poor source, Russia has been making the same hollow threats basically since the start.

Why bother posting this drivel here?
Questionable source, but even so who the hell cares what Russia says at this point? They can't do ####. They can't even control the non government forces within their own borders. There are no potential consequences for France.

I remember when hating ruskies was almost a perverse level obsession for conservatives and republican aligned morons. The brainwash level is so magnificent. I would bet solid money that this group of people could easily be led to publicly supporting pedophilism or similar atrocity within 5 years.

Good reminder of how violent and nasty the Balkan Wars of the 90's were.

Not a good chunk of history for that region.

I carried a mine ID pamphlet everywhere with me, used it a fair bit.

Please stop quoting Yoho. Just put them in your ignore list. They bring nothing of value to the board or any discussion into which they enter.

No idea how reliable, but there are a number of people suggesting that Prigozhin has stomach cancer, or maybe some other fates have mysteriously befallen him.

That totally reminded me about the rumors of Putin seemingly dying soon back last year, I think it was? Were those reports also indicating cancer or was it something else? I can't remember.

The stomach cancer is sentient, and soon will cause Prigozhin to fall out a window.

The polonium-laced mayo in your sandwich will do that.
