Looking at what Jake friggen McCabe and Tanner Jeanot just got?
They’d be fools not to in this market.
In fact, selling right now is probably the best chance they have to see Huberdeau, Weegar and Kadri help them win a cup.

After all the defending you did for him, you still haven't addressed why he isn't apart of the NHL's Black History program. He's literally THE ONLY ONE OMMITTED.

Can’t we finish bottom-10, and bribe Bettman to give us first overall in the lottery, like Katz did for the Oilers all those years? Like, c’mon Edwards, don’t be so cheap, we need Bedard!

McCabe and Jeannot got a low 1st and a bunch of lower picks. Basically long shot magic beans
You don’t trade Lindholm for that. Not with a year left. Not even Hanifin even if I don’t like him.
Maybe Toffoli.

If the Flames want to sell out east, they best hurry

As an Avs fan, I'd hope the Avs are throwing all the assets at Lindholm (and to a lesser extent Backlund) with some retention.

Puistola is UFA Jun 23 too lol. His likelihood of being any sort of an asset for the Oilers is basically zero. And points to how to deluded so much of that fan base is, when they'd throw him into potential trades, as the closing piece.
Unless he lights it up with the Hurricanes, he's either going UFA, or re-signing at a decent haircut.

Trading for Lindholm is the type of move that could net them a Stanley Cup. The acquisition cost should be astronomically high but likely worth it for the Avs. Problem with the Avs is that their 1st round picks are late and their prospect base isn't great at the moment.

I'd just like to see them take Kadri back.
To COL: Kadri ($1M retained - so $6M over the next 6 years)
To CGY: 2023 1st round pick
That's perfect. Let's do that. We paid a 1st to dump $6M of Monahan, so Colorado can pay us a 1st to carry $6M (total) over the course of the next 6 years. Colorado gets him at a "discount" of $6M AAV.

Or could mean trading for a Dman. Didn't expect that with our D depth before Kylington didn't show up.
Or trading for a Goalie. No one saw Markstrom turning into garbage.

Yeah I’d do that Kadri trade, as long as Lindholm is open to an extension. I hate to tie up the cap for that long but getting away from Kadri would be good enough incentive to do it.
If Lindholm isn’t open to extending this summer, then I’d keep Kadri for now and try to turn Lindholm into 2024 unprotected first, A prospect, and a conditional pick based on the next 2 years of playoff success. No small pieces, just 1sts and players you expect to play.

Either would be amazing as 2Cs there
Yes, even Backlund. 200 foot stud that elevates his linemates

No way the Flames retain for 6 years but if they are retaining I’d rather they use their slots on Lindholm, Toffoli, and Tanev

I won't raise an eyebrow until one of our guys is held out of the lineup.

If you can find a way to give Kadri back to the Avs, you do it.
Only having to worry about Huberdeau's albatross would be manageable with the cap increasing

I would believe they would.
Kadri's deal is going to be rough in year 5,6, and 7.
The would definitely pay 6 million dollars and recoup the first in order to pay Lindy.
