I spent some time searching for a Richard Gortus obituary online, because that would have been awesome. Unfortunately Pepsi seems to have picked a name so obscure that nobody has had it.
Google thought I wanted Richard Fortus of Guns 'n' Roses, who does not appear to have died.

For anyone that drove downtown and is looking to get out along 4th Ave I suspect it is going to be a disaster today. They started some construction at 4th and 7th Street yesterday and have two lanes closed. Looks like this after a pipe might have burst at 4th and 4th and two lanes are closed. They just had 3rd Ave between 4 St and 5th Street to remove the concrete barriers along the bike lane. Things are not looking good.

Stupid grinder but it seems whenever I get a call I have to say hello seven times before the person responds. Half the time its a scam call and I have already started calling them a C word (a few times that has backfired).
But what are people doing? I have started just hanging up after the second hello. Mysteriously those people phone right back and say I hung up on them yet can answer after the first hello now. Are they switching over to bluetooth after I answer? If so, phone me back when you are all ready. I'm not sitting here saying hello seven times.

Yup, they started that monday, they have trailers set up so its gonna be a few days. Will be a disaster. I think they had 9th down two lanes this morning and it was the worst morning commute I have ever had. Then I got a bylaw ticket for a basketball net that has been in our alley for 7 years (I want it gone so I'm ok with that).

I went months with no spam calls but today I’ve had three. I answer but get no answer so I just listen until the person hangs up. What’s the point of doing this and just hanging up?

Those are spam calls. The delay is them switching over from the auto-dialer to a real person. If you answer a call and no one answers the first hello, just hang up.
