At first I was impressed you track your ice cube usage, then I reread the sentence.

Props to all the crews who have been working 24 hours a day to fix this issue.

I learned so much when I worked at the City but it just scratched the surface. Such a complicated ecosystem. Very neat.

They're slowly reopening the line. We should be back to normal soon.

Man, it will feel so good to finally have a shower and wear clean clothes for the first time in weeks.

I think we all are going to be doing laundry for a few days to make up for only doing essentials.

I temporarily switched to paper plates just to save the amount of things needing to go in the dishwasher. Happy to be returning to normal soon.

Like all periods of momentary hardship, I hope people have learned some new, better ways of doing things.

You don’t have to run the dishwasher when it’s 1/2 full.
You don’t have to water your lawn.
You don’t have to have 20 minute showers, or leave the water running while you brush your teeth.
You don’t have to use a whole laundry cycle to wash that one shirt you wanted to wear, you can wait for a full load.

Of course, everyone can and will go back to doing all of these things. But the important thing is: we learned something, together, that we can immediately forget, together.

Except I don't think you're serious at all. COVID has proven that we as a species cannot learn and are doomed.

Hit us with a meteor and lets get this experiment over with.

Better luck next time.

Kinda odd that McIver was there and the city and province spent a decent amount of time thanking each other. Call me cynical, but this mutual appreciation out of nowhere seems a bit suspicious. Are the UCP suddenly worried about Calgary and the impact of Nenshi leading the NDP? Has the city decided it needed to "kiss the ring" to get a better relationship with the province? All very curious.

It's not about having to, it is about wanting to and exercising my first world rights
