Oilers with multiple days off between games again. And then they have 4 straight games against bottom feeders. Such a soft schedule.

What ever happened to the league reviewing tapes and fining divers? Seems like that was just an empty threat.

They’ll do that for non-oilers. McDavid was called for embellishment quite a few times and never anything further than that.

This might be a hot take, but I'd rather have Makar, on his current contract, than McDavid, on his current contract.

Makar makes 3.5 million less and has another year of term. Ridiculously good contract.
Also a couple of years younger. In 2027, McDavid will be making around 15 million, while Makar will still be making 9...

I'd choose Makar over Mavi no matter what the cap hit.

Did you know that McPowerplay isn't even a point per game player 5 on 5 (for example Gretzky 1.32PPG 5 on 5).

There's a reason why Marchand and Millen didn't even mention him when discussing best players.

McDavid to date is kind of like the Dan Marino of the NHL. Amazing skill and stats, but no rings.

Yeah but at least Dan Marino can act. McDavid has the personality of a potato.

So when do the Oilers sign Corey Perry to add to their dirtbag collection?

Realistic Comment: I think they know he's not what they need.

Comment I want to leave you with: haha stupid Oilers.

Detroit has won 3 in a row, so hopefully they can surprise us and knock these losers down a peg tonight.

So when does the Oilers' schedule start getting a little tougher? With all these games against bottom feeders, long breaks between games, and the officials gifting them timely McPPs whenever they need it, they've had it pretty easy so far this year.

It's pretty astonishing. The only top team they face this entire month is Toronto.

A few middling teams in Philly, Detroit, Nashville, and Seattle, but that's it. The rest are all pretty poor.

Haven't seen anyone post those easiest to hardest schedule charts that were frequent last year. Anyone know where to find one that's relevant to the current day?

They must be running into one of the toughest remaining schedules.
