Yeah, and they are crammed for visits too, even if you get one. My last physical took 5 minutes.

A lot of DS loyalists are no better nor brighter than Trudeau "lapdogs"
Can't appear to think for themselves or consider alternate viewpoints. Just repeat rhetoric whether it's even applicable or not.
Essentially throwing stones at alternate mirrored versions of themselves.
Alberta doesn't need to be "defended", it needs to be cured of its own internal ignorance and neglect that's going to cause added suffering for anybody whose health is not in good standing in the years to come.

Yep, Grant Notley was the leader for 4 straight elections. Elmer Roper, Ray Martin, and Brian Mason were the other Alberta NDP leaders that each ran in in 3 consecutive provincial elections.

I know they are not in touch with reality or have any sense of self-awareness, but it is funny to see the TBA idiots bragging about how they got Kenney out of the party for Smith to have the party lose 11 seats and put the election at risk.
Usually when you #### up that bad and make an organization that much worse you try to keep it quiet not brag about how #### a job you did.

When I want to bed it looked like Panda was going to win the Edgemont riding. Pleasantly surprised this morning that Hayter came back.

Disappointing the province is rewarding the UCP with another government after the last 4 years. Do people really think they did a good job, a good enough job to be reelected? They spend over a year infighting, reelecting a new leader, reshuffling the whole cabinet due to controversies. Life for me in this province is without a doubt the most expensive it has ever been. No accountability for the current government for this?
What I find most troubling is that I honestly don't know what this government will do. One of the most vague and least open campaigns I have ever witness from a winning party. From how Smith won her leadership, her documented comments on everything and things she said months ago are all up in the air...so what were people voting on? The purpose of an election is to present your ideas and what your government is going to do. Not a trust us bro plan for the future. Since the current government is the UCP voting against the opposition doesn't hold water, you are voting in favour of the past four years.
I expect to this to be least transparent government we have ever had that mostly shoots from the hip and fights internally. But the most concerning and worrying trend is the us versus them mentality attitude that the Smith and UCP government embraces and fosters. This American style politics clearly does not lead to a better, efficient or effective government. Remember the government is meant to serve the whole province not just their base. I don't expect this UCP government, especially Smith, to do this.

It wasn't perfect, but we accomplished the goal.
Ensure Alberta's future prosperity and protect Albertans from the NDP/Liberal coalition, both in Alberta and from Ottawa.
Albertans will be assured of the opportunity to succeed on their own merits, to have safer streets, to have access to the services they need, to keep their money where it belongs and continue to have jobs and investments in a thriving economy.
I'm proud of all my fellow UCP members for their hard work, for running a campaign that focused on improving the lives of all Albertans and staying positive.
Premier Smith is focused on Alberta and Albertans, even the ones who don't support our party. We will continue to work hard on making sure Alberta remains the best province in Confederation. Jobs, taxes, healthcare and education, these are the things that matter most, these are the things we will protect and nourish.
Congratulations Premier Smith and all other elected MLA's.
Alberta. Strong and Free.

It is beyond hilarious that Larry Heather split the right-wing vote juuuuuust enough for Shandro to lose his seat by seven votes. So funny.

My question is, why did voter participation drop? Was it just the wildfires? I mean 62 is still decent but I would have thought more people would be voting with this one being so close, not fewer than 2019.

Pretty much but NDP for the most part owned metropolitan Alberta which represents most posters here so it makes sense.

Honestly I think many could not bring themselves to vote either orange or blue and knew that any other vote was not going to matter, so they just didnt bother.

Conservatives not wanting to vote NDP or UCP?
That almost described me, but I met Joan Chand'oiseau and liked her enough to vote for her.
