Defense takes the blame for this game.

Too many mistakes.

If you put up over 30 points in a game you should win every time.

Not very often your QB can throw for 400 yds and a couple TDs and still be the primary cause of a loss.

Pick 6 and a fumble deep in your end by the QB...but the D was not great either.

TSN loves the Stamps for the TV ratings...

Can we just fire Dickenson now? Playcalling is still pathetic. Just put Stevens in and run in the 2 point convert!

Nah, plenty of blame to go around today. Defense played their worst game of the season today, offensive live didn't give Jake much time back there either, running game was not good as well.

I feel like they didn't even try to establish a running game today. It wasn't effective but did they even have 10 rushing plays?

Defeat from the jaws of victory again. Not good. Oh well. At least the Riders are still trash so the playoffs are attainable.

Like why the hell would you long bomb it after you just got a turnover on downs?? so stupid. run the damn ball.

I got kicked out of the laundramat after the 1st half. Watched the rest of the game at McDonalds. They have fried chicken here and it's pretty damn good!

First Stamps game in a while. West side was pretty full, sunny and hot east side wasnt.
A lot more efficient IMO for concessions and getting booze than I remember.

Excellent game. Maier with costly mistakes (the fumble appeared to be his fault, RB assumed he wasn't going to take it) were the difference, as they often are.

Parades XP miss on first TD comes back and haunts them in the end.
Running game shimmung game, there were enough looks that they didn't need to run the ball. The defense just needed to make some critical stops and they didn't.

Entertaining game aside, the Stamps just aren't the fundamentally good team they used to be. Coaching and execution simply not good enough. Every week it seems like one of the units lets the team down. Special teams and the offense have taken their turns but the defense went really, really soft to end the game. Maybe it's me but I feel Monson's defenses always seem to leak badly at the worst of times. I don't know maybe you want to have someone cover the opposition's best WR in OT?

Good to see Maier connecting on some deep passes but the turnovers on successive offensive series spotted the Redblacks 14 points. Dave has to work on this as Maier's turning the ball over way too much this season. Also as said above Paredes missing that first extra point was extremely costly but really shouldn't have been had Dickenson just kicked extra points on their other TD's rather than failing on all those successive 2 point conversions largely due to suspect play calling. Icing on the cake was Ottawa winning the game with a 2 point conversion that was a high percentage short pass rather than the lower percentage attempts the Stamps kept trying. It's going to be a long season and it's looking like the Riders and Stamps will be battling to become playoff doormats for the Lions or Bombers.

I'm starting to think the Stamps will end the Elks losing record on the labour day back to backs.

It was a fun game, too bad the Stamps lost but I was excited to see Crum wasn’t a one hit wonder. The league needs QBs badly and if in a Stamps loss, Ottawa solidified their QB situation, I’m happy for them. Let’s get to it.

Maier - good throws and some bad throws. I think the 450 yard game will hide some terrible decisions. I still don’t think he’s the answer but he did make some nice throws. QBs will make mistakes when you throw as much as he did but that was too many mistakes for one game.

Mills - again shutdown. Lack of calling his number, OL not opening up holes, and hesitation from Mills meant no running game at all. Had to be better.

Receivers - probably their best game of the year; Barnes looked great. Michel is back. Reggie did Reggie things. Odoms-Dukes played well too.

OL - same as last week, help up against the pass rush but couldn’t open up lanes. Not sure where the issue lies as all three interior guys are vets and that’s where they are struggling.

DL - outside of missing some tackles on Crum, they played ok imo, not great as last week. Crum got his runs on broken plays. 5 sacks were good but they didn’t get many critical stops.

LB - Judge played the spy quite well. Wall struggled with tackling and awareness. Awe made some plays but I think he’s going back to his cheap shot days. The refs called it for the Stamps but I think he clearly led with his helmet on that 4th Q hit on Crum. He’s got to cut it out.

DB - Jameson struggled. Didn’t hear much from Roberson or Williams which is good. They didn’t get the stops when they needed them. Need to be better.

Tommy Lewis - he’s good and he’s going to start breaking some soon.
Parades - missed the PAT but hit the game tying FG. At the end of the day, can you count on him?

Coverage - much better this week.

Stamps lost but the game was exciting.
