They're often on the sides as well. Plus, it's just a general "you see them al the time on semis so keep in mind" tactic. It's the wide turns as well, some people don't realize what it takes for a semi to make a turn so they end turning right at the back side (their blind spot) and stay right tight to them so they struggle to complete the turn without taking out the vehicle.

Huh, two very different accents.

It's really too bad local band The Evidence retired in 2016. I still love their music to this day and feel they could have done so much more. They were so damn good. Does anyone know any of the members? They should do a one off show at least, I'd love to go.

The last upside down year was 1961. Before that 1881. But there won’t be another one until the year 6009.

A couple of people in the breakroom were talking about their recent holidays and how the protected themselves from the sun.
spf 100, hats all the time, etc.

I'm old enough to remember when people used to try and get their first sunburn of the year to "get a base", and also coat themselves in baby oil before broiling in the sun.

man, people were nuts in the old days.

Anyone found a mattress for an IKEA bed that’s not IKEA. I’m told IKEA beds are non-standard sizes. Their mattresses are poor.

Dude. Who tells you these weird things? Look at the dimensions of the bed frame and then look at the dimensions of a mattress. Ikea beds fit normal mattresses lol. I mean, maybe there are exceptions, which is why double checking is a good idea, but of course they sell normal bed frames for standard mattresses.

My wife. I always listen to my wife. I plan to visit a bad store with measurements in hand.

You don't need to visit a store.

Here's a link to an Ikea frame: https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/malm-be...ite-s19931605/

Mattress measurements to go with that queen bed are on that page: 79 1/2" x 59 7/8".

Now here's a link to a standard queen mattress at SleepCountry: https://www.sleepcountry.ca/en/sealy...product/72210M

Mattress measurements are: 79.5" x 60"

Boom, done.

That 1/4" in width might be the difference between fitting and not fitting the frame.

The IKEA mattresses aren’t that bad. We have a few, granted they’re for the guest bedrooms so we don’t really use them, except when quarantining away during covid.

The IKEA mattresses are slightly above passable. I agree. For the price, they compete well with other stuff in that price range and are decent value. Tossing a topper on those mattresses helps a bit to bring up the performance for a fraction of a price of a full on mattress (and it's less heavy to lift).

But once you exceed a certain threshold of mattress, it's not what you want in a mattress.

However, one of the things I've also started realizing is that a bad bed frame can really give you a bad time. I have a few that were great and after a move and about 6 months, I've had nothing but discomfort and grief. I think I will junk the frames and start over because trying to address the "cosmetic bend" and the DIY repairs are not working. I thought it was the mattress at first, until I tried the mattress on the floor and it was back to being how it felt before and no pain. The bunkie boards and bed box situations affect comfort/discomfort as well.

I don’t have anyone on ignore, but if you do, and they thank your post, do you see their name on the list of thanks?

I've been sick and doped up on meds/sleeping to the point of basically complete mind fog. I come back to the OT forums kinda groggy, look at a few topics and it feels like I'm in an alternate reality.

The recycling truck and the compost truck should be combined into one double length truck. They pickup on the same day, why have two drivers/trucks do the same route a half hour apart.

I assure you that the Sliver and Yoho threads, despite all rational thinking to the contrary, are not a chemically induced hallucination or fever dream.

Its just been that kind of week...
