I don’t know how many months the players need for recovery, but I hope they shoot for an earlier start in April. I recall their inaugural game being early May?
I feel across the country, April Weather is warmer than November weather. I imagine they would cover the pitch a lot like golf courses do their greens?

No idea what they do for the pitch over the winter, but Spruce Meadows will have that we’ll taken care of. I’d hope they aim to wrap the season up by mid-October at the latest though. Maybe I’m just getting old, but games at -10 or -20 don’t have a lot of appeal to me. I’m hoping and pretty sure that this is a one year thing though.

That was the plan before COVID showed up at the party. I hope they plan on starting the prairie teams on the road. I imagine that would be a grounds keeping nightmare if the turf is soggy and gets ripped up before it even starts growing. Plus April snow here is a certainty.

York was… not good. Maybe they can pull out an upset in the semi finals as I think they played a partially rotated squad but Forge was better in every aspect
