Speaking to the choir here, but if AA can't make a trade and get the desperately needing pitching, for a second straight year for a team that has the ability, and also a crap division), then this (and the Donaldson deal) is the kind of trade that will probably keep AA employed anyways.

But as we all know, hate to see all the offense go to waste because they have one very good SP, another ok one, and then a bunch of average arms,along with a wildly inconsistent bull pen.

Getting Hawkins is the underrated part of this. He's a good reliever.

AA's biggest flaw is him devotion to Gibbons. (And ignoring the bullpen)

Trading for 1 year of a starter is pointless.

The Jays offense is stacked. Like early 00's Yankees/Red Sox stacked.

Rockies have a great SS in AAA, Trevor Story, so I would expect if a 3rd team is involved that it would be whomever the Rocks are dealing with to get him, nothing to do with the Jays.
