Matches up with the rumours.
I think this jersey would look great with just the black flaming c rather than the word mark.

It just looks so cheap. Looks like on of the knock offs you would buy at wal-mart. this is a huge dissapointment. They should let the fans pick the jerseys, or atleast the third jersey. They should release 3-4 options for the fans to vote on and the winner is the chosen third jersey

Because the cost and time commitment of designing 4 different jerseys in co-operation with Reebok, getting NHL approval, going through a voting process and having people vote is kind of ridiculous for a jersey. Especially considering you then have 3 options some people would have preferred that would be on their mind (much like the current scenario where we've seen the retro, and now everyone constantly natters about how they want the retro). Not saying this is great, but letting fans decide on a jersey is so ridiculously complicated from a marketing, production, and compliance standpoint that it's really not as easy as "why don't they just...."

The Flames organization has shown very little in the way of design talent or aesthetic taste by management for many years. Remember the 30th anniversary logo that looked like clip-art from the 90s?

If this really is the 3rd jersey, I hope people will send a signal to the organization of how terribly outclassed it is in this area by not opening their wallets for these abominations.

I will absolutely take the credit (blame) if someone wants to write me a cheque!
I just find it a little silly is all, people keep mentioning how they want retro home/away kits when this is about a third jersey, the Flames drop some really unpopular elements from their jerseys, add some popular elements from other jerseys, keep the colour scheme that most people and enjoy, and... people complain.
It doesn't look great, but SOME of the complaints here are just plain silly.
There's no denying, there's something wrong with that logo, but otherwise that is a NICE looking jersey that is pretty much in line with what is current, popular, and what a lot of fans wanted, and yet some people react with "IM PRETTY SURE HITLER WORE THIS"... or something along those lines.
Maybe silly isn't the right word, maybe funny, because I really do kind of enjoy the reaction.

I'm pretty sure Hitler never wore those.

As for the jersey itself, often less is better.

BOOOOOOO HORRIBLE!!!!

Looks like a Stampeders jersey crossed with a Flames Jersey.

The Flaming C combined with the wordmark is redundant.

BOOOOOOOOO!!!

FUGLY!!!!!

Only thing missing is a lasso and cowboy hat...

I really don't understand the purpose of eliminating a jersey that is loved by many Calgarians, and applauded by the hockey community in the first place let alone replacing it with something like this.

Have you read the goal song thread? When fans get to actually pick something there's still an incredible amount of complaining. There's no pleasing people.

They'll sell a few of these jerseys, then come up with a new one in a year or two if they don't sell well. No big deal.

People will actually have to buy this jersey for them to profit off of it. If you use CP as a sample size of public opinion(and factor that we care about the Flames enough to read and post about them) and 80% of us don't like it, I'm not sure how more passive Flames fans are going to be that different - especially with how expensive jerseys are.

Man, I'm glad I bought up a couple of those retro's while they were on sale.

I agree, the jersey looks too much like the Devils jersey. I love the Devils home jersey, one of my favorites actually. I wish this thing went up in flames. The yellow is terrible and the cursive writing of the city name is tacky.

I said I like them in the poll but would have selected "wait and see" instead if that option was available. I'd like to see it in person to form an opinion either way.

But as for the screen shots, is that really what Giordano looks like in NHL 14? Can anyone confirm this? And could this just be another mock-up like we've seen before (ie: Calgary Flag Jersey). Just think that the story on icethetics is a little suspect. He downloaded a standard roster pack and it contained this jersey? How come no one else got it then? Just seems odd.
