Wow, did they ever send a weak team to the US. Even still though, they're just playing like crap, even that lineup should be able to play against the US, they're just mailing it in.

Is the Brazil/England game really that one-sided? Its not on TV but I'm reading the stats and England havent managed a shot on goal and only 30% possession? It looks like thats England's starting XI too, outside of maybe Cole and Gerrard.

I was worried about this game, I knew it would be rough without the talent but after watching the game in Miami and how the players just melted away in the second half had me worried

Kruse! 4-2. I have been impressed by him. Probably the only German who has had a somewhat decent match

England looks awful. Hart is having a good game. Looks like Jones is man marking Neymar, and Carrick is being man-marked himself. Smart of the Brazillian's as the rest of the English can't pass.

SAF did England a huge favour making him basically a shadowing DM instead of a CB (I know he still plays both, as well as RB, but I think his final position will be DM) he's all ready marked Ronaldo and Bale out of games and it's his first year doing it

looking at 2016 because I think our best hope in Rio is QFs

but the spine in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 of

Hart
Caulker/Smalling
Jones/Wilshere

that's something you can definitely build on

Throw Fellaini in there as another one nullified by Jones. I think however that his future is at CB and he will be a very good one at that.

almost everything you needed to know about the upcoming world cup qualifiers.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...ng-points.html

to me the big matches this round are.

Friday: Portugal-Russia
Portugal are currently 3rd in the group, they must win this one.

Tuesday: Venezuela-Uruguay.
Uruguay are in 6th and go to Venezuela who are in 5th. If Uruguay fail to get a point here, without suspended Suarez, they will be out.

Italy vs the Czech Republic is a big match too.

An Italian win will pretty much seal their spot, while a loss for the Czech will put their qualification campaign in danger.

We’ve had a few years to get used to the idea that Germany are no longer just a dull, organised side with no flair. And now the old enemy have gone one better and done the unthinkable — they are outpassing Spain.

Are those that complain about Spain's style, going to do the same with Germany? I doubt it.

Group C in Europe is tough!

Messi, who is two goals behind Diego Maradona in Argentina’s all-time scoring list, was sick on the pitch during half-time as he struggled in the thin air of La Paz, more than 13,000 feet above sea level. Team-mate Angel Di Maria had to be given oxygen on the pitch during the 1-1 draw.

I thought FIFA wasn't allowing high altitude games anymore?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_al...ll_controversy

Looks like FIFA lifted the ban. Wrong move IMO. Bolivia and Ecuador have large cities closer to sea level, so there is no need to play in La Paz and Quito, other than to gain an unfair advantage.
