Remember that Putin approval poll that showed Putin way more popular with Repubs with Trump as the standard bearer? Yeah it's really funny seeing "conservatives" betray their principles for Trump.

They also hate and fear the Republican establishment.
The notion that the two might not march in lockstep introduces unwelcome complexity to that fear and hate, so it must be rejected.
There is only the mono-enemy.
Who are you talking to?
What are you talking about?
What does this have to do with anything?
Are you just trying to remind us you're one of the smartest people in the room? Who are you arguing against? Who holds the position you're arguing against?

Interesting, Trump's campaign manager says Hillary shouldn't have to release her medical records.

Conway asked about Trump’s short drs letter: “I don’t know why we need such extensive medical reporting when we all have a right to privacy”
The dream here is that both candidates have debilitating health conditions that prevent them from running, and we all get the Rubio v Biden contest that America needs, but does not deserve.
Actually, never mind, America deserves this. Carry on.
I like the suggestion that the Trump campaign has a daily pool (like DFS or whatever) to see who can make the most ridiculous statement. Makes sense actually given every day it seems someone is trying to win that pool.

I don't think Trump's camp is backing off on this because they're worried about Trump's health - I think there is more to Clinton's health concerns than has been disclosed by her medical team, and it is to Trump's advantage to keep her in the race for as long as possible.
They're backing off and pushing privacy because the calls for his tax returns will get louder and they simply cannot allow for those to be released. If he really goes in on her health and transparency it may come back to him and taxes. He can instead use double speak and innuendo to question her health and let everyone fill in the blanks. A direct attack in the case isn't the smart play for him.

Or, Trump's braintrust has realized that they may have just given Hillary a window to be relatable and empathetic: what if they contain nothing disqualifying, but some details that are deeply personal? Just to throw an example out there, what if in a few days, we all know know that Clinton's had a hysterectomy, and everyone thinks 'jeez, we had no business knowing about that,' and meanwhile Clinton has to get up and address it, and it's awkward, and heartfelt, and many women can relate if not to her medical experiences than certainly to her feelings of embarrassment and of having her privacy violated simply because of her ambitions.
